He also gave him a copy of the text of the edict for their annihilation, which had been published in Susa, to show to Esther and explain it to her, and he told him to instruct her to go into the king’s presence to beg for mercy and plead with him for her people.

Mordecai also gave Hathak a copy of the order. It commanded people to wipe out the Jews. The order had been sent from Susa. Mordecai told Hathak to show the order to Esther. He wanted Hathak to explain it to her. Mordecai told him to tell her to go and beg the king for mercy. Mordecai wanted her to make an appeal to the king for her people.

Mordecai also gave him a copy of the written decree issued in Susa for their destruction, that he might show it to Esther and explain it to her and command her to go to the king to beg his favor and plead with him on behalf of her people.

如果掌权者向你发怒，你不要离开原位，因为柔顺能免大过。

即使我有理，也不敢回答，只向那审判我的求怜悯；

以斯帖照着末底改吩咐她的，没有把自己的身世和种族告诉人；末底改所说的话，以斯帖都遵行，就像昔日养育她的时候一样。

谕文抄本颁行各省，通告各族，使他们准备好这一天。驿使奉王命急忙出发，御旨从书珊城颁布出去。那时王与哈曼又同坐共饮，书珊城的居民却非常慌乱。

当时希律对推罗和西顿人怀怒在心。这两地的人因为他们的地区都需要从王的领土得到粮食，就先拉拢了王的内侍臣伯拉斯都，然后同心地去见希律，要向他求和。

我在赐生命给万物的神面前，并那在本丢．彼拉多面前见证过美好的信仰的基督耶稣面前嘱咐你，

王后以斯帖回答，说：“我若是在你眼前蒙恩，王若是喜欢，我所要的，是要王把我的性命赐给我；我所求的，是求王把我的族人赐给我。因为我和我的族人被人出卖，快要毁灭，被杀尽、灭绝了。我们若是只被卖为奴婢，我也必闭口不言，但王的损失是敌人不能补偿的。”

因为我怎忍看见我的同胞受害呢？我怎忍看见我的族人消灭呢？”

君王的心在耶和华手中，好像水沟的水，他可以随意转移。

对王说：“愿王万岁，我列祖坟墓所在的城成了荒芜之地，城门被火焚毁，我怎能不面带愁容呢？”王问我：“你想要什么呢？”我就向天上的神祷告，然后对王说：“如果王认为好，仆人能在你面前蒙恩宠，就请你差派我往犹大，到我列祖坟墓所在的城去，让我重建那城。”

君王的烈怒好像死亡的使者，唯有智慧人能平息君王的怒气。君王脸上欣悦的光采，使人得生命；君王的恩宠好像春日雨云。

你要嘱咐那些今世富有的人，叫他们不要心高气傲，也不要寄望在浮动的财富上，却要仰望那厚赐百物给我们享用的神。
