He also gave him a copy of the text of the edict for their annihilation, which had been published in Susa, to show to Esther and explain it to her, and he told him to instruct her to go into the king’s presence to beg for mercy and plead with him for her people.

Mordecai also gave Hathak a copy of the order. It commanded people to wipe out the Jews. The order had been sent from Susa. Mordecai told Hathak to show the order to Esther. He wanted Hathak to explain it to her. Mordecai told him to tell her to go and beg the king for mercy. Mordecai wanted her to make an appeal to the king for her people.

Mordecai also gave him a copy of the written decree issued in Susa for their destruction, that he might show it to Esther and explain it to her and command her to go to the king to beg his favor and plead with him on behalf of her people.

Mordecai gave Hathach a copy of the decree issued in Susa that called for the death of all Jews. He asked Hathach to show it to Esther and explain the situation to her. He also asked Hathach to direct her to go to the king to beg for mercy and plead for her people.

諭旨的抄本作為法令頒佈到各省，通知各族為那天做好準備。信差奉王的命令急忙上路，諭旨也在書珊城裡頒佈了。王和哈曼坐下飲酒，書珊城一片慌亂。

希律對泰爾和西頓的人非常惱火。於是，他們聯合起來去見他，先取得宮廷總管伯拉斯都的支持，然後向他求和，因為他們兩地需要從他的轄區獲得糧食。

在賜萬物生命的上帝面前，也在向本丟·彼拉多做過美好見證的基督耶穌面前，我囑咐你：

以斯帖回答說：「我若得到王的恩寵，王若願意，就請王把我的性命和我本族人的性命賜給我——這是我所求的。因為我和我本族的人都被賣了，我們將被剷除、殺光、滅盡。如果只是賣我們為奴為婢，我會閉口不語，因為那樣的痛苦不值得來打擾王。」

我怎能忍心看我本族的人受害？我怎能忍心看我的親族被殺？」

耶和華掌管君王的心，易如支配壟溝的流水。

我對王說：「願王萬歲！我祖墳所在的城邑已成廢墟，城門也被燒毀，我怎能不面帶愁容？」王問我：「你有什麼要求？」我向天上的上帝禱告後，回答說：「如果王認為好，如果僕人在王面前蒙恩，請王派我到猶大，重建我祖墳所在的城邑。」

王的烈怒如死亡使者，然而智者能平息王怒。王的笑容帶給人生命，他的恩惠像春雨之雲。

你要勸誡那些今世富足的人不要高傲，也不要冀望於靠不住的錢財，要信靠將萬物厚賜給我們享用的上帝。
