He also gave him a copy of the text of the edict for their annihilation, which had been published in Susa, to show to Esther and explain it to her, and he told him to instruct her to go into the king’s presence to beg for mercy and plead with him for her people.

Mordecai also gave Hathak a copy of the order. It commanded people to wipe out the Jews. The order had been sent from Susa. Mordecai told Hathak to show the order to Esther. He wanted Hathak to explain it to her. Mordecai told him to tell her to go and beg the king for mercy. Mordecai wanted her to make an appeal to the king for her people.

Mordecai also gave him a copy of the written decree issued in Susa for their destruction, that he might show it to Esther and explain it to her and command her to go to the king to beg his favor and plead with him on behalf of her people.

以斯帖依照末底改的吩咐，没有向人透露自己的身世和籍贯，因为她像幼年时一样听从末底改的话。

谕旨的抄本作为法令颁布到各省，通知各族为那天做好准备。信差奉王的命令急忙上路，谕旨也在书珊城里颁布了。王和哈曼坐下饮酒，书珊城一片慌乱。

希律对泰尔和西顿的人非常恼火。于是，他们联合起来去见他，先取得宫廷总管伯拉斯都的支持，然后向他求和，因为他们两地需要从他的辖区获得粮食。

在赐万物生命的上帝面前，也在向本丢·彼拉多做过美好见证的基督耶稣面前，我嘱咐你：

以斯帖回答说：“我若得到王的恩宠，王若愿意，就请王把我的性命和我本族人的性命赐给我——这是我所求的。因为我和我本族的人都被卖了，我们将被铲除、杀光、灭尽。如果只是卖我们为奴为婢，我会闭口不语，因为那样的痛苦不值得来打扰王。”

我怎能忍心看我本族的人受害？我怎能忍心看我的亲族被杀？”

耶和华掌管君王的心，易如支配垄沟的流水。

我对王说：“愿王万岁！我祖坟所在的城邑已成废墟，城门也被烧毁，我怎能不面带愁容？”王问我：“你有什么要求？”我向天上的上帝祷告后，回答说：“如果王认为好，如果仆人在王面前蒙恩，请王派我到犹大，重建我祖坟所在的城邑。”

王的烈怒如死亡使者，然而智者能平息王怒。王的笑容带给人生命，他的恩惠像春雨之云。

你要劝诫那些今世富足的人不要高傲，也不要冀望于靠不住的钱财，要信靠将万物厚赐给我们享用的上帝。
