In the twelfth year of King Xerxes, in the first month, the month of Nisan, the pur( that is, the lot) was cast in the presence of Haman to select a day and month. And the lot fell on the twelfth month, the month of Adar.

The lot was cast in front of Haman. The lot was called Pur. It was cast in the first month of the 12th year that Xerxes was king. That month was called Nisan. The lot was cast to choose a day and a month. The month chosen was the 12th month. That month was called Adar.

In the first month, which is the month of Nisan, in the twelfth year of King Ahasuerus, they cast Pur( that is, they cast lots) before Haman day after day; and they cast it month after month till the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar.

So in the month of April, during the twelfth year of King Xerxes’ reign, lots were cast in Haman’s presence( the lots were called purim) to determine the best day and month to take action. And the day selected was March 7, nearly a year later.

In the first month, the month of Nisan, in King Ahasuerus’s twelfth year, the pur— that is, the lot— was cast before Haman for each day in each month, and it fell on the twelfth month, the month Adar.

这殿在大利乌王在位的第六年亚达月初三日，完成了。

原本犹大人的敌人，亚甲族哈米大他的儿子哈曼曾经设谋陷害犹大人，要消灭他们；他弄卜“普珥”，就是抽签，为要打击和消灭犹大人。但这事呈到王面前以后，王使用文书降旨吩咐，使哈曼计谋的恶事，就是他设谋陷害犹大人的事归到他自己的头上，又使人把他和他的众子挂在木架上。因此，犹大人照着“普珥”的名字，称这两日为普珥节；所以他们因这信上的话，又因他们所看见和所遭遇的事，

因为巴比伦王站在分叉路口，在两条路口上占卜、摇签、求问神像，察看动物的肝。他右手中拿着耶路撒冷的签，要在那里架起攻城锤，下令屠杀，扬声吶喊；架起攻城锤，攻打城门；筑起土垒，建造围城的高墙。

签抛在人的怀中，一切决断却在于耶和华。

这是在亚达月十三日的事，十四日他们得享安宁，以这日为设宴欢乐的日子。但在书珊的犹大人在十三、十四日聚集起来杀敌，他们就在十五日休息，以这日为设宴欢乐的日子。因此乡村的犹大人，就是住在没有城墙的村镇的，都以亚达月十四日为欢乐饮宴的吉日，互送礼物。

这样，犹大人击杀他们所有的仇敌，他们用刀尽量击杀，随意对待他们的仇人。

嘱咐他们每年都要守亚达月十四、十五两日。

十二月，就是亚达月，十三日，王的命令和谕旨快要执行的时候，就是犹大人的仇敌盼望辖制犹大人的日子，反成了犹大人辖制恨他们的人的日子。

他执政第三年，曾为众领袖和臣仆摆设筵席；波斯和玛代的权贵，以及各省的贵族和领袖都在他面前。

亚哈随鲁王执政第七年十月，就是提别月，以斯帖被带进王宫去见亚哈随鲁王。

士兵把他钉了十字架，就抽签分他的衣服，

亚达薛西王二十年尼散月，王面前摆上了酒席，我拿酒来奉给王。我在他面前素来没有露出愁容。
