It included women and children. All the Jews were supposed to be killed on a single day. That day was the 13th day of the 12th month. It was the month of Adar. The orders also commanded people to take everything that belonged to the Jews.

末底改奉亞哈隨魯王的名來寫，又用王的打印戒指蓋上了印；那些文書是由跑文書的人經手騎上御養的馬、國事用的快馬、傳送的。文書中王准一省一省的猶大人在一日之間、在十二月、就是亞達月、十三日、都可以聚集，站起來保護自己的性命，將任何族任何省分要攻擊他們、的一切軍兵、連小孩和婦女、全都消滅、屠殺滅盡，並且奪取他們的資財作為掠物。

對於不行憐恤的人、審判是沒有憐恤的：行憐恤，憐恤就超審判而誇勝了。

『我的日子比跑信的更快；它疾飛過去，不見福樂。
