Then on the thirteenth day of the first month the royal secretaries were summoned. They wrote out in the script of each province and in the language of each people all Haman’s orders to the king’s satraps, the governors of the various provinces and the nobles of the various peoples. These were written in the name of King Xerxes himself and sealed with his own ring.

The king sent for the royal secretaries. It was the 13th day of the first month. The secretaries wrote down all Haman’s orders. They wrote them down in the writing of each territory in the kingdom. They also wrote them in the language of each nation. The orders were sent to the royal officials and to the governors of the territories. And the orders were also sent to the nobles of the nations. The orders were written in the name of King Xerxes himself. And they were stamped with his own official mark.

Then the king’s scribes were summoned on the thirteenth day of the first month, and an edict, according to all that Haman commanded, was written to the king’s satraps and to the governors over all the provinces and to the officials of all the peoples, to every province in its own script and every people in its own language. It was written in the name of King Ahasuerus and sealed with the king’s signet ring.

So on April 17 the king’s secretaries were summoned, and a decree was written exactly as Haman dictated. It was sent to the king’s highest officers, the governors of the respective provinces, and the nobles of each province in their own scripts and languages. The decree was written in the name of King Xerxes and sealed with the king’s signet ring.

Everything Haman commanded was written to the king’s satraps and governors who were in every province and to the officials of every people, province by province according to its script and people by people according to its language. In the name of King Ahasuerus it was written and sealed with the king’s signet ring.

把诏书传送给王的各省，用各省的文字给各个省，用各民族的语言给各个民族：要所有作丈夫的都在自己家中作主，用本族的语言说话。

这些人又合谋来到王那里，对王说：“王啊，你要知道，照着米底亚和波斯的法令，王所设立的任何禁令和法规都不能更改！”

于是他们来到王面前，提起有关王的禁令：“王啊，难道你不是签署了以下的禁令吗？三十天之内，无论何人，如果向你以外的任何神明或任何人祈祷，就必被扔进狮子坑！”王开口说：“照着不能废除的米底亚和波斯的法令，确实如此。”

犹太人就为自己和自己的后裔，以及所有归附于他们的人，确立并承诺如下：每年都一定照着文书、照着所定的日期守这两日；

你们就照着你们眼中看为好的，以王的名义给犹太人下旨，用王的印戒封印吧；因为以王的名义下旨、用王的印戒封印的文书是不能撤回的。”那时是三月（西弯月）二十三日，王的书记们被召来，照着末迪凯所吩咐的一切，给犹太人下旨，也给从印度到库实一百二十七个省的行政官、省长和各省的首领下旨，用各省的文字给各个省，用各民族的语言给各个民族，用犹太人的文字和语言给犹太人。末迪凯以亚哈随鲁王的名义下旨，用王的印戒封印，藉着骑马的信使们把诏书传送出去；他们骑的是御用的快马，都是良种的赛马。在诏书中，王允许各个城市的犹太人，在亚哈随鲁王各省中，在十二月（亚达月）十三日，一天之内，聚集起来，保护自己的性命，除灭、击杀、消灭所有攻击犹太人的各族各省的武装力量，甚至他们的孩童和妇女，并且掠夺他们的财物。

王取下自己的印戒，就是他从哈曼那里收回的，把它交给了末迪凯；以斯帖也安排末迪凯管理哈曼的家。

王啊，现在请你照着不能废除的米底亚和波斯的法令，设立这禁令并签署这文告，使它不能更改！”
