“你被人请去赴婚姻的筵席，不要坐在首位上，恐怕有比你尊贵的客被他请来；

锡安的众女子啊，你们出去观看所罗门王！头戴冠冕，就是在他婚筵的日子、心中喜乐的时候，他母亲给他戴上的。

于是利未人使众民静默，说：“今日是圣日；不要作声，也不要忧愁。”

用金器皿赐酒，器皿各有不同。御酒甚多，足显王的厚意。

拉班就摆设筵席，请齐了那地方的众人。

“天国好比一个王为他儿子摆设娶亲的筵席，

可以问你的仆人，他们必告诉你。所以愿我的仆人在你眼前蒙恩，因为是在好日子来的。求你随手取点赐与仆人和你儿子大卫。’”

以这月的两日为犹大人脱离仇敌得平安、转忧为喜、转悲为乐的吉日。在这两日设筵欢乐，彼此馈送礼物，周济穷人。

他父亲下去见女子。参孙在那里设摆筵宴，因为向来少年人都有这个规矩。众人看见参孙，就请了三十个人陪伴他。参孙对他们说：“我给你们出一个谜语，你们在七日筵宴之内，若能猜出意思告诉我，我就给你们三十件里衣，三十套衣裳；你们若不能猜出意思告诉我，你们就给我三十件里衣，三十套衣裳。”他们说：“请将谜语说给我们听。”参孙对他们说：“吃的从吃者出来；甜的从强者出来。”他们三日不能猜出谜语的意思。到第七天，他们对参孙的妻说：“你诓哄你丈夫，探出谜语的意思告诉我们，免得我们用火烧你和你父家。你们请了我们来，是要夺我们所有的吗？”参孙的妻在丈夫面前啼哭说：“你是恨我，不是爱我，你给我本国的人出谜语，却没有将意思告诉我。”参孙回答说：“连我父母我都没有告诉，岂可告诉你呢？”七日筵宴之内，她在丈夫面前啼哭，到第七天逼着他，他才将谜语的意思告诉他妻，他妻就告诉本国的人。

天使吩咐我说：“你要写上：凡被请赴羔羊之婚筵的有福了！”又对我说：“这是神真实的话。”

住在地上的人就为他们欢喜快乐，互相馈送礼物，因这两位先知曾叫住在地上的人受痛苦。
