那時是三月，就是西彎月，二十三日，王的文士都召了來，照著末底改所吩咐一切有關猶大人的事，用各省的文字、各族的方言寫了諭旨，從印度到古實的一百二十七省，給各省的總督、省長和領袖，也用猶大人的文字和方言寫給猶大人。

你們作妻子的，要順服自己的丈夫，好像順服主一樣，因為丈夫是妻子的頭，好像基督是教會的頭；基督又是教會全體的救主。教會怎樣順服基督，妻子也要照樣凡事順服丈夫。

我不准女人教導，或轄制男人；女人總要安靜。

好提醒年輕的婦女愛丈夫愛兒女，並且自律、貞潔、理家、善良、順從自己的丈夫，免得神的道受毀謗。

但在教會中，我寧願用理智說五句話去教導人，勝過用方言說萬句話。弟兄們，你們在思想上不要作小孩子，卻要在惡事上作嬰孩，在思想上作成年人。

尼布甲尼撒王向住在全地的各國、各族和說各種語言的人宣告說：“願你們大享平安！

我現在下令：無論各國、各族、說各種語言的人，凡說話得罪沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的神的，必被碎屍萬段，他的家也必成為廢墟，因為沒有別的神能這樣施行拯救。”
