是以我為基督使、雖繫鐵索、得侃侃言、如所當言、

我為此福音為使者、而陷於縲絏之中、當求主使我得毅然而傳、如所當言、

蓋我已為福音之故而成為被鍊加鎖之星使。果能不為威武所屈、侃侃而談、庶幾不辱使命、是所至願也。

for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Because of the good news, I am being held by chains as the Lord’s messenger. So pray that I will be bold as I preach the good news. That’s what I should do.

I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.

For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough to speak about it as I should.

that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.

It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

I appeal to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I became in my imprisonment.

For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—

May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains,

so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard and to all the rest that my imprisonment is for Christ.And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.

And David said,“ I will deal loyally with Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father dealt loyally with me.” So David sent by his servants to console him concerning his father. And David’s servants came into the land of the Ammonites.But the princes of the Ammonites said to Hanun their lord,“ Do you think, because David has sent comforters to you, that he is honoring your father? Has not David sent his servants to you to search the city and to spy it out and to overthrow it?”So Hanun took David’s servants and shaved off half the beard of each and cut off their garments in the middle, at their hips, and sent them away.When it was told David, he sent to meet them, for the men were greatly ashamed. And the king said,“ Remain at Jericho until your beards have grown and then return.”When the Ammonites saw that they had become a stench to David, the Ammonites sent and hired the Syrians of Beth-rehob, and the Syrians of Zobah, 20,000 foot soldiers, and the king of Maacah with 1,000 men, and the men of Tob, 12,000 men.

But you, dress yourself for work; arise, and say to them everything that I command you. Do not be dismayed by them, lest I dismay you before them.

A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a faithful envoy brings healing.

But the Lord said to me,“ Do not say,‘ I am only a youth’; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord.”

The descendants also are impudent and stubborn: I send you to them, and you shall say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God.’And whether they hear or refuse to hear( for they are a rebellious house) they will know that a prophet has been among them.And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions. Be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house.

“ Cry aloud; do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet; declare to my people their transgression, to the house of Jacob their sins.

Then the tribune came up and arrested him and ordered him to be bound with two chains. He inquired who he was and what he had done.

as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.

And Paul said,“ Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am— except for these chains.”

for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound!

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,

and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,

But Peter and the apostles answered,“ We must obey God rather than men.

Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

But though we had already suffered and been shamefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we had boldness in our God to declare to you the gospel of God in the midst of much conflict.
