要穿戴上帝所賜的全副軍裝，好抵擋魔鬼的詭計。因為我們的爭戰並不是對抗有血有肉的人，而是對抗那些執政的、掌權的、管轄這幽暗世界的，以及天空靈界的惡魔。所以，要拿起上帝所賜的全副軍裝，好在邪惡的日子能抵擋仇敵，並且完成了一切後還能站立得住。所以，要站穩了，用真理當作帶子束腰，用公義當作護心鏡遮胸，又用和平的福音當作預備走路的鞋穿在腳上。此外，要拿信德當作盾牌，用來撲滅那惡者一切燒着的箭。要戴上救恩的頭盔，拿着聖靈的寶劍－就是上帝的道。

因為我們爭戰的兵器本不是屬血氣的，而是憑着上帝的能力，能夠攻破堅固的營壘。我們攻破各樣的計謀，

要把握時機，因為現今的世代邪惡。

你們要時時警醒，常常祈求，使你們能逃避這一切要來的事，得以站立在人子面前。」

那些在磐石上的，就是人聽道，歡喜領受，但沒有根，不過暫時相信，等到碰上試煉就退後了。

因為你遵守了我堅忍的道，我也必在普天下人受試煉的時候保守你免受試煉。

他來的日子，誰能當得起呢？他顯現的時候，誰能立得住呢？因為他如煉金匠的火，如漂洗者的鹼。

你趁着年輕、衰老的日子尚未來到，就是你所說，我毫無喜悅的那些歲月來臨之前，當記念造你的主。

你們以為降禍的日子尚遠，卻使殘暴的統治臨近。

因為他們遭憤怒的大日子到了，誰能站得住呢？」

有一位你們那裏的人，作基督耶穌僕人的以巴弗問候你們。他禱告的時候常為你們竭力祈求，願你們能站穩而成熟，充分確信上帝一切的旨意。

不要被人虛浮的話欺騙了，因這些事，上帝的憤怒必臨到那些悖逆的人。
