欲使之聖、由水之洗、以道潔之、

水濯以潔之、傳道而使為聖、

以水之洗與道而潔之、使之成聖、

以聖道和水、洗之使潔、俾其成聖、

to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,

He did it to make her holy. He made her clean by washing her with water and the word.

that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,

He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we did in righteousness, but in accordance with His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,whom He richly poured out upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior,so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

let’s approach God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds.

This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name.’

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you.

In the exercise of His will He gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.

“ Then I bathed you with water, washed off your blood from you, and anointed you with oil.
