他是身體（教會）的頭；他是元始，是從死人中復活的首生者，好讓他在萬有中居首位。

我們反而要用愛心說誠實話，各方面向着基督長進，連於元首基督，

神使萬有服在他的腳下，又使他為了教會作萬有之首；教會是他的身體，是那充滿萬有者所充滿的。

作丈夫的，你們要愛自己的妻子，正如基督愛教會，為教會捨己，以水藉着道把教會洗淨，使她成為聖潔，

他們唱新歌，說：「你配拿書卷，配揭開它的七印；因為你曾被殺，用自己的血從各支派、各語言、各民族、各邦國中買了人來，使他們歸於神，

「食物是為肚腹，肚腹是為食物」；但神要使這兩樣都毀壞。身體不是為淫亂，而是為主；主也是為身體。

等候他兒子從天降臨，就是神使他從死人中復活的那位救我們脫離將來憤怒的耶穌。

聖靈立你們作全羣的監督，你們就當為自己謹慎，也為全羣謹慎，牧養神的教會，就是他用自己血所買來的。
