教會體也、基督其首也。渠實無始之始、亦首先自死中復活者也。

務須篤守真諦、涵養愛德、日漸月漬、暢茂條達、庶克仰配為吾人元首之基督。

置天地萬物於其足下、立之為全教會至高無上之元首、而以教會為其身軀。蓋基督涵覆萬有、而教會實為之輔翼也。

為夫者當愛其妻、亦如基督之愛教會；基督為教會而舍己、以聖道和水、洗之使潔、俾其成聖、

諸老合奏新歌一曲、其詞曰：誰堪受其書而啟其緘兮、惟爾具斯大德、爾曾自獻為犧牲兮、流爾寶血；贖元元於各種各族兮、萬邦重譯；俾翕然歸返乎天主兮、以成神國；

食為腹、腹為食；惟腹與食皆非永久之物、轉瞬天主即將使之朽污無遺矣。至於吾人之身、豈為縱淫恣慾而存乎？身為主也、主為身也、如是而已。

以待其聖子耶穌之臨格。聖子者、即天主所起於死者之中、而令吾人免於將臨之譴怒者也。

爾其戰戰兢兢、保身保群；斯群也、即主以其寶血贖得之教會、而聖神之所以立爾為主教、以資督導也。
