但是我愿你们知道：基督是每一个男人的头，男人是女人的头，而神是基督的头。凡是男人在祷告或做先知传道的时候，如果蒙着头，就是羞辱自己的头；凡是女人在祷告或做先知传道的时候，如果不蒙着头，就是羞辱自己的头，因为这与头发被剃掉了是同样一件事。要知道，女人如果不遮盖自己，她就应该连头发也剪掉；但既然女人剪掉头发或剃掉头发是可耻的，她就应该遮盖自己。男人本来不应该遮盖着头，因为他是神的形像和荣耀，而女人是男人的荣耀。原来男人不是由女人而出，女人却是由男人而出；并且男人不是为女人而造，女人却是为男人而造。因此，为了天使的缘故，应该有权柄在女人的头之上。

他是身体的头，就是教会的头，他是元始，是从死人中首先复活的，为要使他能在万有中居首位，

我们却要在爱中说真话，在一切事上向着他长进；他就是头，是基督。

神又使万有都服从在基督的脚下，使基督为教会做了超越万有的元首。教会是他的身体，是在万有中充满万有的那一位的丰盛完美。

你们做丈夫的，要爱自己的妻子，就像基督也爱了教会，为她舍弃了自己。基督这么做，是要藉着话语，用水的洗涤而洁净教会，使她分别为圣，

他们唱着一首新歌，说：“你配接受那书卷，配打开它的封印，因为你曾被杀，用自己的血，从各支派、各语言群体、各民族、各国家，为神赎回了人，

“食物是为了肚子，肚子是为了食物”，但神将要把这两样都废除。身体不是为了淫乱，而是为了主；主也是为了身体。

并且等候他那从天降临的儿子，就是神使他从死人中复活的耶稣——他拯救我们脱离那将要来临的震怒。

你们当为自己谨慎，也当为全体羊群谨慎。圣灵把你们放在这羊群里做监督，为要牧养神的教会，就是他用自己的血所赎来的。
