我希望你們知道，基督是男人的頭，丈夫是妻子的頭，上帝是基督的頭。男人在禱告和講道時，若蒙著頭，就是羞辱自己的頭。但婦女在禱告和講道時，若不蒙著頭，就是羞辱自己的頭，因為她就像剃光了頭髮一樣。因此，如果婦女不願意把頭蒙起來，就該把頭髮剪掉。如果她覺得剪髮或剃頭是羞恥的，就應該蒙頭。然而，男人不該蒙頭，因為男人是上帝的形像和榮耀，而女人是男人的榮耀。因為男人並非出自女人，而女人卻是出自男人。並且男人不是為女人而造的，女人卻是為男人而造的。因此為了天使的緣故，女人在頭上應該有服權柄的記號。

祂是教會的頭，教會是祂的身體；祂是源頭，是首先從死裡復活的，這樣祂可以在一切事上居首位。

相反，我們說話要憑愛心堅持真理，在各方面都要追求長進，更像元首基督。

祂又使萬物降服在基督腳下，使基督為教會作萬物的元首。教會是基督的身體，蘊涵著那無所不在、充滿萬物者的豐盛。

作丈夫的要愛妻子，正如基督愛教會，為教會捨己，好藉著自己的道用水洗淨教會，使她聖潔，

他們唱著一首新歌：「你配拿書卷並揭開封印，因你曾被殺，用你的血從各部落、各語言族群、各民族、各國家，將人買贖回來歸給上帝。

食物是為了肚腹，肚腹也是為了食物，但將來上帝要把這兩樣都廢棄。身體不是用來行淫的，而是為了主，主也是為了身體。

等候祂的兒子從天降臨，就是祂使之從死裡復活、救我們脫離將來可怕審判的耶穌。

你們要為自己，也要為教會的群羊警醒，因為聖靈已經任命你們做群羊的監督，牧養上帝的教會。教會是主用自己的血贖回來的。
