Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,

Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,

Wine is a mocker, intoxicating drink a brawler, And whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise.

For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit while still in his mother’s womb.

Woe to those who are heroes in drinking wine, And valiant men in mixing intoxicating drink,

envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness, self control; against such things there is no law.Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well.

But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so called brother if he is a sexually immoral person, or a greedy person, or an idolater, or is verbally abusive, or habitually drunk, or a swindler— not even to eat with such a person.

Let’s behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and debauchery, not in strife and jealousy.

For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night.

The Lord of armies will protect them. And they will devour and trample on the slingstones; And they will drink and be boisterous as with wine; And they will be filled like a sacrificial basin, Drenched like the corners of the altar.And the Lord their God will save them on that day As the flock of His people; For they are like the precious stones of a crown, Sparkling on His land.For how great will their loveliness and beauty be! Do not be with heavy drinkers of wine, Or with gluttonous eaters of meat;For the heavy drinker and the glutton will come to poverty, And drowsiness will clothe one with rags.

namely, if any man is beyond reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of indecent behavior or rebellion.

So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

Now the Lord of armies will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain; A banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow, And refined, aged wine.

for when you eat, each one takes his own supper first; and one goes hungry while another gets drunk.

Because Your favor is better than life, My lips will praise You.So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.My soul is satisfied as with fat and fatness, And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.

“ You there! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost.

Those who sit in the gate talk about me, And songs of mockery by those habitually drunk are about me.
