What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed.

Shall the throne of iniquity, which devises evil by law, Have fellowship with You?They gather together against the life of the righteous, And condemn innocent blood.

‘ You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.

I have not sat with idolatrous mortals, Nor will I go in with hypocrites.I have hated the assembly of evildoers, And will not sit with the wicked.

I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner— not even to eat with such a person.

Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons.You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.

“ There are those who rebel against the light; They do not know its ways Nor abide in its paths.The murderer rises with the light; He kills the poor and needy; And in the night he is like a thief.The eye of the adulterer waits for the twilight, Saying,‘ No eye will see me’; And he disguises his face.In the dark they break into houses Which they marked for themselves in the daytime; They do not know the light.For the morning is the same to them as the shadow of death; If someone recognizes them, They are in the terrors of the shadow of death.

For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.

“ Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings.Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, For the reward of his hands shall be given him.

Forsake foolishness and live, And go in the way of understanding.“ He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself, And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself.Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.

Strike a scoffer, and the simple will become wary; Rebuke one who has understanding, and he will discern knowledge.

A scoffer does not love one who corrects him, Nor will he go to the wise.

I did not sit in the assembly of the mockers, Nor did I rejoice; I sat alone because of Your hand, For You have filled me with indignation.

He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction, But he who regards a rebuke will be honored.

“ Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.
