Can a throne of destruction be allied with You, One which devises mischief by decree?They band themselves together against the life of the righteous And condemn the innocent to death.

that, in reference to your former way of life, you are to rid yourselves of the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit,

I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people;I did not at all mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the greedy and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to leave the world.But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so called brother if he is a sexually immoral person, or a greedy person, or an idolater, or is verbally abusive, or habitually drunk, or a swindler— not even to eat with such a person.

No, but I say that things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become partners with demons.You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night.

Say to the righteous that it will go well for them, For they will eat the fruit of their actions.Woe to the wicked! It will go badly for him, For what he deserves will be done to him.

Abandon your foolishness and live, And proceed in the way of understanding.”One who corrects a scoffer gets dishonor for himself, And one who rebukes a wicked person gets insults for himself.Do not rebuke a scoffer, or he will hate you; Rebuke a wise person and he will love you.

Strike a scoffer and the naive may become clever, But rebuke one who has understanding, and he will gain knowledge.

A scoffer does not love one who rebukes him; He will not go to the wise.

I did not sit in a circle of revelers and celebrate. Because of Your hand upon me I sat alone, For You filled me with indignation.

A person often rebuked who becomes obstinate Will suddenly be broken beyond remedy.

Poverty and shame will come to one who neglects discipline, But one who complies with rebuke will be honored.

“ Now if your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have gained your brother.

So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, And be filled with their own schemes.

Like an earring of gold and a jewelry piece of fine gold, Is a wise person who offers rebukes to a listening ear.

Do not enter the path of the wicked And do not proceed in the way of evil people.Avoid it, do not pass by it; Turn away from it and pass on.

Therefore do not become partners with them;
