To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ,

if indeed you have heard of the administration of God’s grace which was given to me for you;

However, since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them properly: if prophecy, in proportion to one’s faith;if service, in the act of serving; or the one who teaches, in the act of teaching;or the one who exhorts, in the work of exhortation; the one who gives, with generosity; the one who is in leadership, with diligence; the one who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, and various kinds of tongues.All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they?All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they?

For He whom God sent speaks the words of God; for He does not give the Spirit sparingly.

To one he gave five talents, to another, two, and to another, one, each according to his own ability; and he went on his journey.

Therefore it says,“ When He ascended on high, He led captive the captives, And He gave gifts to people.”( Now this expression,“ He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.)And He gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers,for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ;until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of people, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;

And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain—

But we will not boast beyond our measure, but within the measure of the domain which God assigned to us as a measure, to reach even as far as you.For we are not overextending ourselves, as if we did not reach to you, for we were the first to come even as far as you in the gospel of Christ;not boasting beyond our measure, that is, in other people’s labors, but with the hope that as your faith grows, we will be, within our domain, enlarged even more by you,
