是宜棄絕謊言、彼此相見以誠。蓋吾人彼此俱屬一體也。

Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

So each of you must get rid of your lying. Speak the truth to your neighbor. We are all parts of one body.

Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.

So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body.

Therefore, putting away lying, speak the truth, each one to his neighbor, because we are members of one another.

But for the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and sexually immoral persons, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

‘ You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another.

by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,

Truthful lips will endure forever, But a lying tongue is only for a moment.

“ They bend their tongues like their bows; Lies and not truth prevail in the land; For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me,” declares the Lord.“ Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; Because every brother utterly betrays, And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.Everyone deceives his neighbor And does not speak the truth. They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves committing wrongdoing.

For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with wrongdoing; Your lips have spoken deceit, Your tongue mutters wickedness.No one sues righteously and no one pleads honestly. They trust in confusion and speak lies; They conceive trouble and give birth to disaster.

Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral persons, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.

Remove the false way from me, And graciously grant me Your Law.

The acquisition of treasures by a lying tongue Is a fleeting vapor, the pursuit of death.

You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

For if I have boasted to him about you regarding anything, I was not put to shame. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, so also our boasting before Titus proved to be the truth.

If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be?But now God has arranged the parts, each one of them in the body, just as He desired.If they were all one part, where would the body be?But now there are many parts, but one body.And the eye cannot say to the hand,“ I have no need of you”; or again, the head to the feet,“ I have no need of you.”On the contrary, it is much truer that the parts of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary;and those parts of the body which we consider less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor, and our less presentable parts become much more presentable,whereas our more presentable parts have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that part which lacked,so that there may be no division in the body, but that the parts may have the same care for one another.And if one part of the body suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if a part is honored, all the parts rejoice with it.Now you are Christ’s body, and individually parts of it.

There is oath taking, denial, murder, stealing, and adultery. They employ violence, so that bloodshed follows bloodshed.

“ The Lord of armies says this:‘ The fast of the fourth, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth months will become joy, jubilation, and cheerful festivals for the house of Judah; so love truth and peace.’

Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood,

For He said,“ Certainly they are My people, Sons who will not deal falsely.” So He became their Savior.

One of them, a prophet of their own, said,“ Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”

Since there is one loaf, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf.

But Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the proceeds of the land?While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God.”

for the sexually immoral, homosexuals, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching,

because we are parts of His body.
