意志虛妄、理智昏昧、冥頑不靈、而自絕於天主之生命。

They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

They can’t understand the truth. They are separated from the life of God. That’s because they don’t know him. And they don’t know him because their hearts are stubborn.

Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him.

因为，他们虽然知道上帝，却不把他当作上帝荣耀他，也不感谢他。他们的思想变为虚妄，无知的心昏暗了。他们自以为聪明，反成了愚昧，将不能朽坏之上帝的荣耀变为偶像，仿照必朽坏的人、飞禽、走兽、爬虫的形像。

要记得那时候，你们与基督无关，与以色列选民团体隔绝，在所应许的约上是局外人，而且在世上没有指望，没有上帝。

因为这百姓的心麻木，耳朵发沉，眼睛闭着，免得眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里明白，回转过来，我会医治他们。’

“主使他们瞎了眼，使他们硬了心，免得他们眼睛看见，他们心里明白，回转过来，我会医治他们。”

不放纵私欲的邪情，像不认识上帝的外邦人。

从前你们与上帝隔绝，心思上与他为敌，行为邪恶；

这些不信的人被这世界的神明弄瞎了心眼，使他们看不见基督荣耀的福音。基督本是上帝的像。

你们这些淫乱的人哪，岂不知道与世俗为友就是与上帝为敌吗？所以，凡想要与世俗为友的，就是与上帝为敌了。

弟兄们，我不愿意你们不知道这奥秘，恐怕你们自以为聪明。这奥秘就是有一部分以色列人是硬心的，等到外邦人的数目添满了，

他们既然故意不认识上帝，上帝就任凭他们存扭曲的心，做那些不该做的事，

但他们的心地刚硬，直到今日诵读旧约的时候，这同样的面纱还没有揭去；因为这面纱在基督里才被废去。

因为体贴肉体就是与上帝为敌，对上帝的律法不顺服，事实上也无法顺服。属肉体的人无法使上帝喜悦。

但从前不认识上帝的时候，你们是给那些本来不是上帝的神明作奴隶；

世人蒙昧无知的时候，上帝并不追究，如今却吩咐各处的人都要悔改。

求你顾念所立的约，因为地上黑暗之处遍满了凶暴。

耶稣怒目环视他们，因他们的心刚硬而忧伤，就对那人说：“伸出手来！”他把手一伸，手就复原了。

既然世人凭自己的智慧不认识上帝，上帝就本着自己的智慧乐意藉着人所传愚拙的话拯救那些信的人。

你们将谁与我相比，与我相等，将谁与我相较，使我们相似呢？他们从钱囊中倒出金子，用天平秤出银子，雇银匠造成神像，他们又俯伏，又叩拜。他们抬起神像，扛在肩上，安置在定处，使它站立，不离本位；人呼求它，它却不回答，也无法救人脱离灾难。你们当记得这事，立定心意。叛逆的人哪，要留心思想。

你既深信自己是给盲人领路的，是在黑暗中人的光，

但他的心高傲，灵也刚愎，以致行事狂傲，就被革去国度的王位，夺走荣耀。

我也要救你脱离百姓和外邦人的手。我差你到他们那里去，要开他们的眼睛，使他们从黑暗中转向光明，从撒但权下归向上帝；使他们因信我而得蒙赦罪，和一切成圣的人同得基业。’”

他们的偶像是金的，是银的，是人手所造的，有口却不能言，有眼却不能看，有耳却不能听，有鼻却不能闻，有手却不能摸，有脚却不能走，有喉却不能说话。造它们的要像它们一样，凡靠它们的也必如此。

他们既无知，又不思想；因为耶和华蒙蔽他们的眼，使他们看不见，塞住他们的心，使他们不明白。没有一个心里醒悟，有知识，有聪明，能说：“我曾拿一部分用火燃烧，在炭火上烤饼，也烤肉来吃。这剩下的，我岂要做可憎之像吗？我岂可向木头叩拜呢？”他以灰尘为食，心里迷糊，以致偏邪，不能自救，也不能说：“我右手中岂不是有虚谎吗？”
