For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles–

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—

I, Paul, am a prisoner because of Christ Jesus. I am in prison because of my work among you who are Gentiles.

When I think of all this, I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the benefit of you Gentiles...

For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles,—

For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—

For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

For this cause I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles,

I, therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live worthily of the calling with which you have been called,

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I fill up in my physical body– for the sake of his body, the church– what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ.

for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may be able to speak boldly as I ought to speak.

I would rather appeal to you on the basis of love– I, Paul, an old man and even now a prisoner for the sake of Christ Jesus–

So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me, a prisoner for his sake, but by God’s power accept your share of suffering for the gospel.

The whole imperial guard and everyone else knows that I am in prison for the sake of Christ,and most of the brothers and sisters, having confidence in the Lord because of my imprisonment, now more than ever dare to speak the word fearlessly.Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from goodwill.The latter do so from love because they know that I am placed here for the defense of the gospel.

For it is right for me to think this about all of you, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel all of you became partners in God’s grace together with me.

From Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our dear friend and colaborer,

But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you, handing you over to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and governors because of my name.

So the centurion took him and brought him to the commanding officer and said,“ The prisoner Paul called me and asked me to bring this young man to you because he has something to tell you.”

After three days Paul called the local Jewish leaders together. When they had assembled, he said to them,“ Brothers, although I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our ancestors, from Jerusalem I was handed over as a prisoner to the Romans.When they had heard my case, they wanted to release me, because there was no basis for a death sentence against me.But when the Jews objected, I was forced to appeal to Caesar– not that I had some charge to bring against my own people.So for this reason I have asked to see you and speak with you, for I am bound with this chain because of the hope of Israel.”

Paul replied,“ I pray to God that whether in a short or a long time not only you but also all those who are listening to me today could become such as I am, except for these chains.”

Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you.

who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets and persecuted us severely. They are displeasing to God and are opposed to all people,because they hinder us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. Thus they constantly fill up their measure of sins, but wrath has come upon them completely.

I, Paul, write this greeting by my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.

May the Lord grant mercy to the family of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my imprisonment.

Now I, Paul, appeal to you personally by the meekness and gentleness of Christ( I who am meek when present among you, but am full of courage toward you when away!)–

Are they servants of Christ?( I am talking like I am out of my mind!) I am even more so: with much greater labors, with far more imprisonments, with more severe beatings, facing death many times.

for which I suffer hardship to the point of imprisonment as a criminal, but God’s message is not imprisoned!So I endure all things for the sake of those chosen by God, that they too may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus and its eternal glory.

Do not be afraid of the things you are about to suffer. The devil is about to have some of you thrown into prison so you may be tested, and you will experience suffering for ten days. Remain faithful even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown that is life itself.

At the same time pray for us too, that God may open a door for the message so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

Then the commanding officer came up and arrested him and ordered him to be tied up with two chains; he then asked who he was and what he had done.

For this reason I ask you not to lose heart because of what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.

Now, brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed.

Listen! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you at all!
