For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith— and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

God’s grace has saved you because of your faith in Christ. Your salvation doesn’t come from anything you do. It is God’s gift.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

For there is no distinction,for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.But they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.God publicly displayed him at his death as the mercy seat accessible through faith. This was to demonstrate his righteousness, because God in his forbearance had passed over the sins previously committed.This was also to demonstrate his righteousness in the present time, so that he would be just and the justifier of the one who lives because of Jesus’ faithfulness.

even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ– by grace you are saved!–

For this reason it is by faith so that it may be by grace, with the result that the promise may be certain to all the descendants– not only to those who are under the law, but also to those who have the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

Do not be led astray, my dear brothers and sisters.All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change.By his sovereign plan he gave us birth through the message of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

They replied,“ Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.”

But to all who have received him– those who believe in his name– he has given the right to become God’s children– children not born by human parents or by human desire or a husband’s decision, but by God.

because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation.

Jesus answered her,“ If you had known the gift of God and who it is who said to you,‘ Give me some water to drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

Consequently faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the preached word of Christ.

Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never send away.

“ I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life.

Do not work for the food that disappears, but for the food that remains to eternal life– the food which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has put his seal of approval on him.”So then they said to him,“ What must we do to accomplish the deeds God requires?”Jesus replied,“ This is the deed God requires– to believe in the one whom he sent.”

He said to the woman,“ Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned.

The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. The one who rejects the Son will not see life, but God’s wrath remains on him.

in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we could receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.

But the scripture imprisoned everything and everyone under sin so that the promise could be given– because of the faithfulness of Jesus Christ– to those who believe.

and by this one everyone who believes is justified from everything from which the law of Moses could not justify you.

For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.

But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous, his faith is credited as righteousness.

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

So Jesus added,“ Because of this I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has allowed him to come.”

Having been buried with him in baptism, you also have been raised with him through your faith in the power of God who raised him from the dead.

( The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning his Son.)And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life.

Jesus said to them,“ I am the bread of life. The one who comes to me will never go hungry, and the one who believes in me will never be thirsty.

Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him.The one who believes in him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.

When they arrived and gathered the church together, they reported all the things God had done with them, and that he had opened a door of faith for the Gentiles.

For this is the will of my Father– for everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him to have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

and what is the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe, as displayed in the exercise of his immense strength.

How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them?

For it has been granted to you not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him,

who by God’s power are protected through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

They will undergo the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his strength,
