且於其形軀廢厥仇讐、即誡命之律、載於條例者、致於彼中以二者造一新人而致和、

惟有守法之儀文、故我儕相敵、基督身死而廢之、使二為一、而相和如新造之人、

彼以其身、廢冤仇之由、即教守儀文之律法、欲於己身使二者成為一新造之人、如是、使之得和、

除法令之障。於彼之身、本族外族融成一體、以作新人、以建和平。

by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace,

Through his body on the cross, Christ set aside the law with all its commands and rules. He planned to create one new people out of Jews and Gentiles. He wanted to make peace between them.

又涂抹了在律例上所写、攻击我们、有碍于我们的字据，把它撤去，钉在十字架上。

穿上了新人。这新人在知识上渐渐更新，正如造他主的形像。

凡以行律法为本的，都是被咒诅的；因为经上记着：“凡不常照律法书上所记一切之事去行的，就被咒诅。”

并不分犹太人、希腊人，自主的、为奴的，或男或女，因为你们在基督耶稣里都成为一了。

你们若是与基督同死，脱离了世上的小学，为什么仍像在世俗中活着、服从那“不可拿、不可尝、不可摸”等类的规条呢？

受割礼不受割礼都无关紧要，要紧的就是作新造的人。

全身都靠他联络得合式，百节各按各职，照着各体的功用彼此相助，便叫身体渐渐增长，在爱中建立自己。

既说新约，就以前约为旧了；但那渐旧渐衰的，就必快归无有了。

那头一层帐幕作现今的一个表样，所献的礼物和祭物，就着良心说，都不能叫礼拜的人得以完全。这些事，连那饮食和诸般洗濯的规矩，都不过是属肉体的条例，命定到振兴的时候为止。

若有人在基督里，他就是新造的人，旧事已过，都变成新的了。

他成为祭司，并不是照属肉体的条例，乃是照无穷之生命的大能。

照着天上样式做的物件必须用这些祭物去洁净；但那天上的本物自然当用更美的祭物去洁净。

你们从前与神隔绝，因着恶行，心里与他为敌。但如今他藉着基督的肉身受死，叫你们与自己和好，都成了圣洁，没有瑕疵，无可责备，把你们引到自己面前。

律法既是将来美事的影儿，不是本物的真像，总不能藉着每年常献一样的祭物叫那近前来的人得以完全。若不然，献祭的事岂不早已止住了吗？因为礼拜的人，良心既被洁净，就不再觉得有罪了。但这些祭物是叫人每年想起罪来；因为公牛和山羊的血，断不能除罪。所以基督到世上来的时候，就说：“神啊，祭物和礼物是你不愿意的，你曾给我预备了身体。燔祭和赎罪祭是你不喜欢的。那时我说：‘神啊，我来了，为要照你的旨意行；我的事在经卷上已经记载了。’”以上说：“祭物和礼物，燔祭和赎罪祭，是你不愿意的，也是你不喜欢的（这都是按着律法献的）”；后又说：“我来了为要照你的旨意行”；可见他是除去在先的，为要立定在后的。我们凭这旨意，靠耶稣基督，只一次献上他的身体，就得以成圣。

弟兄们，我们既因耶稣的血得以坦然进入至圣所，是藉着他给我们开了一条又新又活的路，从幔子经过，这幔子就是他的身体。又有一位大祭司治理神的家，并我们心中天良的亏欠已经洒去，身体用清水洗净了，就当存着诚心和充足的信心来到神面前；
