而且以自己的身体废掉冤仇，就是那记在律法上的规条，为要将两下藉着自己造成一个新人，如此便成就了和睦。

且於其形軀廢厥仇讐、即誡命之律、載於條例者、致於彼中以二者造一新人而致和、

惟有守法之儀文、故我儕相敵、基督身死而廢之、使二為一、而相和如新造之人、

彼以其身、廢冤仇之由、即教守儀文之律法、欲於己身使二者成為一新造之人、如是、使之得和、

除法令之障。於彼之身、本族外族融成一體、以作新人、以建和平。

by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace,

Through his body on the cross, Christ set aside the law with all its commands and rules. He planned to create one new people out of Jews and Gentiles. He wanted to make peace between them.

撤销了指控我们违背律法的罪状，将它和基督一同钉在了十字架上，

穿上了新人。这新人在知识上不断更新，更像他的造物主。

凡以遵行律法为本的人都在咒诅之下，因为圣经上说：“凡不遵行律法书上一切命令的人必受咒诅。”

从此不再分犹太人和希腊人，自由人和奴隶，男人和女人，因为你们都在基督耶稣里合而为一了。

你们既然和基督一同死了，摆脱了世俗的玄学，为什么仍像活在世俗中，

受不受割礼根本无关紧要，做一个新造的人才至关重要。

整个身体靠祂巧妙地结合在一起，筋骨相连，彼此供应，使各部位各尽其职，身体便渐渐长大，在爱中建立起来。

上帝既然说要立新约，就是把以前的约当作旧的了，那渐渐过时、陈旧的东西很快就会消失。

这件事是一个象征，告诉现今的世代：所献的礼物和祭物都不能使敬拜的人良心纯全，因为这些不过是关于饮食和各样洁净礼仪的外在规条，等新秩序的时代一到，便不再有效了。

若有人在基督里，他就是新造的人，旧事已过，看啊，一切都更新了。

既然仿照天上的样式所造的器具需要用祭牲的血来洁净，天上的原物当然要用更美的祭物来洁净。

你们从前与上帝隔绝，行事邪恶，心思意念与祂为敌；但现在上帝借着基督肉身的死使你们与祂和好了，让你们在祂面前成为圣洁无瑕、无可指责的人。

律法只是将来美事的一个投影，并非本体的真像，所以年复一年的献祭不能使前来敬拜的人纯全。否则，献祭的事早已终止了，因为敬拜的人若献一次祭就能彻底得到洁净，他们就不再觉得有罪了。然而，每年献祭的事都使人想起自己的罪来，因为公牛和山羊的血根本不能除去人的罪。所以，基督来到世上的时候曾说：“上帝啊，祭物和供物非你所悦，你为我预备了身体。你并非喜爱燔祭和赎罪祭。于是我说，‘上帝啊，我来是要遵行你的旨意，我的事都记在圣经上了。’”基督首先说：“祭物、供物、燔祭和赎罪祭都不是你想要的，也不是你喜悦的。”这些都是依照律法献上的。然后祂又说：“我来是要遵行你的旨意。”这样，祂废除了前者，为要设立后者。上帝的旨意是：耶稣基督只一次献上自己的身体，便使我们永远圣洁了。

弟兄姊妹，耶稣已用宝血为我们开辟了一条又新又活的路，使我们可以穿过幔子，就是祂的身体，坦然进入至圣所。
