But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

At one time you were far away from God. But now you belong to Christ Jesus. He spilled his blood for you. This has brought you near to God.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off,[ even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him,[ I say], whether[ they be] things in earth, or things in heaven.And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in[ your] mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciledIn the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to[ him that is] far off, and to[ him that is] near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.

To open their eyes,[ and] to turn[ them] from darkness to light, and[ from] the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner[ stone];In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated[ us] into the kingdom of his dear Son:In whom we have redemption through his blood,[ even] the forgiveness of sins:

I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:Whom God hath set forth[ to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;To declare,[ I say], at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.Where[ is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.[ Is he] the God of the Jews only?[ is he] not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:Seeing[ it is] one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Therefore if any man[ be] in Christ,[ he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head,[ saying],

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech[ you] by us: we pray[ you] in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.For he hath made him[ to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and[ things] wherein[ there is] no profit.

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises[ made] unto the fathers:And that the Gentiles might glorify God for[ his] mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.

Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires,[ even] the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs,[ even] glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.

Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at[ thy] side.

And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Whereupon neither the first[ testament] was dedicated without blood.

And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations,[ to] Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow,[ to] Tubal, and Javan,[ to] the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles.

[ There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,[ as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation[ received] by tradition from your fathers;But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
