And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee.And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land of thy sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.And God said unto Abraham, And as for thee, thou shalt keep my covenant, thou, and thy seed after thee throughout their generations.

Now for a long season Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law:

but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: being ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear:

O thou hope of Israel, the Saviour thereof in the time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a sojourner in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?

because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,

Ye worship that which ye know not: we worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.

And Moses came and told the people all the words of Jehovah, and all the ordinances: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which Jehovah hath spoken will we do.And Moses wrote all the words of Jehovah, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the mount, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.And he sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt- offerings, and sacrificed peace- offerings of oxen unto Jehovah.And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basins; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that Jehovah hath spoken will we do, and be obedient.And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which Jehovah hath made with you concerning all these words.Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel.And they saw the God of Israel; and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and as it were the very heaven for clearness.And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: and they beheld God, and did eat and drink.

And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and foreigners shall be your plowmen and your vine- dressers.

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,

and saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and bring you good tidings, that ye should turn from these vain things unto a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that in them is:who in the generations gone by suffered all the nations to walk in their own ways.

Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that carry the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.

And my hand shall be against the prophets that see false visions, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the council of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Saviour, and Christ Jesus our hope;

To show mercy towards our fathers, And to remember his holy covenant;

that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us:

Concerning therefore the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no God but one.For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or on earth; as there are gods many, and lords many;yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we unto him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through him.

And every one that hath this hope set on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Thus saith Jehovah: If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season;then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah, saying,Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which Jehovah did choose, he hath cast them off? thus do they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.Thus saith Jehovah: If my covenant of day and night stand not, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have mercy on them.

And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers,backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,without understanding, covenant- breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful:who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practise them.
