In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

We have been set free because of what Christ has done. Because he bled and died our sins have been forgiven. We have been set free because God’s grace is so rich.

He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace

and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.

he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption.For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh,how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.

Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said,“ Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body have you prepared for me;in burnt offerings and sin offerings you have taken no pleasure.Then I said,‘ Behold, I have come to do your will, O God, as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.’”When he said above,“ You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings”( these are offered according to the law),then he added,“ Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second.And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God,

for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

And they sang a new song, saying,“ Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,

And Peter said to them,“ Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying,‘ Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him

just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works:“ Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered;blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.”Is this blessing then only for the circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised? For we say that faith was counted to Abraham as righteousness.

“ Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, against the man who stands next to me,” declares the Lord of hosts.“ Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; I will turn my hand against the little ones.

For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.

O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive. O Lord, pay attention and act. Delay not, for your own sake, O my God, because your city and your people are called by your name.”

Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.

Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love.

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption.

and he is merciful to him, and says,‘ Deliver him from going down into the pit; I have found a ransom;

then he adds,“ I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven— for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.”And he said to her,“ Your sins are forgiven.”Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves,“ Who is this, who even forgives sins?”And he said to the woman,“ Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

“ Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place.Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time.And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed.

To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”

“ Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near;let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.

whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,

“ On that day there shall be a fountain opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and uncleanness.

that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ,

to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the forgiveness of their sins,

To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”

And he said to them,“ This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.

And he prayed to the Lord and said,“ O Lord, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country? That is why I made haste to flee to Tarshish; for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster.

Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.

As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.

“ I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.

in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory—

And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,

and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,

Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,

And Jesus answering said to him,“ Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he answered,“ Say it, Teacher.”“ A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?”

But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.

It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins. It is these who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These have been redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb,

to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
