依厥善旨、以愛預定我儕、由耶穌基督得為其子、

依厥善意、念耶穌基督、預定我儕為子、

又按其旨、預定我儕由耶穌基督得為其子、

蓋天主秉其仁慈、隨其意之所悅預定吾人緣耶穌基督、得為天主之眾嗣、

he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—

So he decided long ago to adopt us. He adopted us as his children with all the rights children have. He did it because of what Jesus Christ has done. It pleased God to do it.

he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,

God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

He predestined us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

He predestined us to adoption as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

He predestined us to be adopted through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to His favor and will,

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

He did this by predestining us to adoption as his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasure of his will–

having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,

in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his will;

For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren:and whom he foreordained, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

that he might redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.And because ye are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.For ye received not the spirit of bondage again unto fear; but ye received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God:and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint- heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified with him.

For ye are all sons of God, through faith, in Christ Jesus.

But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:

And not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first- fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for our adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

And will be to you a Father, And ye shall be to me sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

He that overcometh shall inherit these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God that are scattered abroad.

making known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him

and ye have forgotten the exhortation which reasoneth with you as with sons, My son, regard not lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when thou art reproved of him;For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, And scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.It is for chastening that ye endure; God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father chasteneth not?But if ye are without chastening, whereof all have been made partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfil every desire of goodness and every work of faith, with power;

But I said, How I will put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of the nations! and I said, Ye shall call me My Father, and shall not turn away from following me.

Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that, in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom knew not God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save them that believe.

for the children being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth,it was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.Even as it is written, Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that hath mercy.

In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: yea, Father; for so it was well- pleasing in thy sight.

for it is God who worketh in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.

Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My Father, thou art the guide of my youth?

and all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.For both he that sanctifieth and they that are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, In the midst of the congregation will I sing thy praise.And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold, I and the children whom God hath given me.Since then the children are sharers in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same; that through death he might bring to nought him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;and might deliver all them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

yea, Father, for so it was well- pleasing in thy sight.

The men of Nineveh shall stand up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, a greater than Jonah is here.
