上帝所畀爾於日下生存之期、咸屬虛空、當與所愛之妻、歡然度日、此為爾於日下畢生操作、所得之值也、

上帝使人生於斯世、悉屬虛浮、畢生操作、安享其所得、夫婦之間、必當眷愛懽娛、以至沒齒。

天主賜爾在日下生存之日、皆虛浮無幾、爾莫若同所愛之妻、歡然度日、因爾生存之時、在日下勞碌所得之分惟此、

Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun— all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun.

You love your wife. So enjoy life with her. Do it all the days of this meaningless life God has given you on earth. That’s what he made you for. That’s what you get for all your hard work on earth.

Enjoy life with the wife whom you love, all the days of your vain life that he has given you under the sun, because that is your portion in life and in your toil at which you toil under the sun.

Live happily with the woman you love through all the meaningless days of life that God has given you under the sun. The wife God gives you is your reward for all your earthly toil.

願你的泉源蒙祝福，你要因你年輕時所娶的妻子歡喜；可愛的母鹿，優美的雌鹿，願她的雙乳使你時時滿足，願你一直迷戀在她的愛中。

在人一生虛空可數的日子裡，他如影子逝去，有誰知道什麼對他好呢？又有誰能告訴人，在他之後，日光之下會發生什麼呢？

我的眼目所追求的一切，我都不禁止；我的心所歡喜的一切，我都不拒絕；因為我的心在我一切的勞苦中歡喜——這就是我在一切勞苦中所得的份。

神難道不是把你們造成一體，又把他的靈分配給了你們嗎？神要的是什麼呢？是屬神的後裔。所以你們當謹守自己的心靈，不可背棄年輕時所娶的妻子。

並且，人人吃喝，在一切的勞苦中享受好處——這也是神的恩賜。

看哪，我所見為善為美的，就是人在神所賜給他一生可數的日子裡吃喝，享受他在日光之下勞苦所得的一切好處，因為這是他的份。

房屋和財物來自祖先的繼業，而明達的妻子來自耶和華。

因此我看到：沒有什麼比人在自己所做的事上自得其樂更好，因為這是他的份。誰能帶他去看在他之後所發生的事呢？

在我虛空的日子裡，我看到這一切：有義人在他的公義中死亡，有惡人在他的邪惡中長壽。

找到妻子的，就找到了福份，他從耶和華蒙了恩典。

對人而言，沒有什麼比吃喝並在勞苦中找到快樂更好的了！在我看，這也是出於神的手；

看哪，你賜給我的年日屈指可數，我的一生在你面前如同無有；所有人站得最穩的時候，也都全然虛空！細拉

人好像一口氣，他的年日就像影子那樣過去。
