Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun— all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun.

You love your wife. So enjoy life with her. Do it all the days of this meaningless life God has given you on earth. That’s what he made you for. That’s what you get for all your hard work on earth.

Enjoy life with the wife whom you love, all the days of your vain life that he has given you under the sun, because that is your portion in life and in your toil at which you toil under the sun.

Live happily with the woman you love through all the meaningless days of life that God has given you under the sun. The wife God gives you is your reward for all your earthly toil.

要使你的泉源蒙福，要愛你年輕時所娶的妻。她高貴可愛宛如母鹿，願她的胸令你時時滿足，願她的愛令你常常陶醉。

人生短暫虛空，如影飛逝，有誰知道什麼對人有益？誰能告訴人死後日光之下會發生什麼事？

凡我眼睛愛看的、心裡渴慕的，我都隨心所欲，盡情享受。我的心從勞碌中得到歡樂，這是我勞碌所得的回報。

上帝不是把你們結合為一體，叫你們肉體和心靈都歸祂嗎？祂為何這樣做？是為了得敬虔的後裔。所以，要看管好你們的心，不可對自己年輕時所娶的妻子不忠。

人人都該吃喝、享受自己勞苦的成果，這是上帝的恩賜。

我認為人生最美最善的是，在上帝所賜的短暫歲月中盡情吃喝，享受自己在日光之下勞苦得來的成果。因為這是人當得的。

房屋錢財是祖先的遺產，賢慧之妻乃耶和華所賜。

因此，我覺得沒有什麼比人享受工作之樂更好，因為這是人當得的。人死後，誰能使他看到世間的事呢？

在我虛空的一生中，我見過義人行義，反而滅亡；惡人行惡，卻享長壽。

得到妻子就是得到珍寶，也是蒙了耶和華的恩惠。

對人而言，沒有什麼比吃喝並享受勞碌之樂更好，我看這也是出自上帝的手。

你使我的生命轉瞬即逝，我的歲月在你眼中不到片刻。人的生命不過是一絲氣息，（細拉）

因為人不過像一口氣，他的年日不過像影子轉眼消逝。
