I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good as long as they live.Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God.

A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes the life glad; and money is the answer for all things.

They brought in God’s ark, and set it in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in Yahweh’s name.He gave to everyone of Israel, both man and woman, to everyone a loaf of bread, a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins.

Then he said to them,“ Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today is holy to our Lord. Don’t be grieved, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength.”So the Levites calmed all the people, saying,“ Hold your peace, for the day is holy. Don’t be grieved.”All the people went their way to eat, to drink, to send portions, and to celebrate, because they had understood the words that were declared to them.

They sacrificed sacrifices to Yahweh, and offered burnt offerings to Yahweh, on the next day after that day, even one thousand bulls, one thousand rams, and one thousand lambs, with their drink offerings and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel,and ate and drank before Yahweh on that day with great gladness. They made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him before Yahweh to be prince, and Zadok to be priest.Then Solomon sat on the throne of Yahweh as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.

Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said,“ Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has made with you concerning all these words.”Then Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up.They saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was like a paved work of sapphire stone, like the skies for clearness.He didn’t lay his hand on the nobles of the children of Israel. They saw God, and ate and drank.

You shall rejoice in your feast, you, your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, the Levite, the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your gates.You shall keep a feast to Yahweh your God seven days in the place which Yahweh chooses, because Yahweh your God will bless you in all your increase and in all the work of your hands, and you shall be altogether joyful.

Abel also brought some of the firstborn of his flock and of its fat. Yahweh respected Abel and his offering,but he didn’t respect Cain and his offering. Cain was very angry, and the expression on his face fell.

You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God— you, and your sons, your daughters, your male servants, your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

Jesus said to him,“ Go your way. Your son lives.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.

Why did you say,‘ She is my sister,’ so that I took her to be my wife? Now therefore, see your wife, take her, and go your way.”

On the eighth day he sent the people away; and they blessed the king, and went to their tents joyful and glad in their hearts for all the goodness that Yahweh had shown to David his servant, and to Israel his people.

But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and behold, all things will be clean to you.

The whole assembly took counsel to keep another seven days, and they kept another seven days with gladness.For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly for offerings one thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.All the assembly of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the assembly who came out of Israel, and the foreigners who came out of the land of Israel, and who lived in Judah, rejoiced.So there was great joy in Jerusalem; for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was nothing like this in Jerusalem.Then the Levitical priests arose and blessed the people. Their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy habitation, even to heaven.

He said to her,“ For this saying, go your way. The demon has gone out of your daughter.”
