I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and enjoy the good life.It is also the gift of God whenever anyone eats, drinks, and enjoys all his efforts.

There is nothing better for a person than to eat, drink, and enjoy his work. I have seen that even this is from God’s hand,because who can eat and who can enjoy life apart from him?For to the person who is pleasing in his sight, he gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and accumulating in order to give to the one who is pleasing in God’s sight. This too is futile and a pursuit of the wind.

So I commended enjoyment because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat, drink, and enjoy himself, for this will accompany him in his labor during the days of his life that God gives him under the sun.

You will eat there in the presence of the LORD your God and rejoice with your household in everything you do, because the LORD your God has blessed you.

Here is what I have seen to be good: It is appropriate to eat, drink, and experience good in all the labor one does under the sun during the few days of his life God has given him, because that is his reward.

A feast is prepared for laughter, and wine makes life happy, and money is the answer for everything.

They brought the ark of God and placed it inside the tent David had pitched for it. Then they offered burnt offerings and fellowship offerings in God’s presence.When David had finished offering the burnt offerings and the fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.Then he distributed to each and every Israelite, both men and women, a loaf of bread, a date cake, and a raisin cake.

Then he said to them,“ Go and eat what is rich, drink what is sweet, and send portions to those who have nothing prepared, since today is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, because the joy of the LORD is your strength.”And the Levites quieted all the people, saying,“ Be still, since today is holy. Don’t grieve.”Then all the people began to eat and drink, send portions, and have a great celebration, because they had understood the words that were explained to them.

The following day they offered sacrifices to the LORD and burnt offerings to the LORD: a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, along with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.They ate and drank with great joy in the LORD’s presence that day. Then, for a second time, they made David’s son Solomon king; they anointed him as the LORD’s ruler, and Zadok as the priest.Solomon sat on the LORD’s throne as king in place of his father David. He prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.

but in every nation the person who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.

Moses took the blood, splattered it on the people, and said,“ This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you concerning all these words.”Then Moses went up with Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of Israel’s elders,and they saw the God of Israel. Beneath his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as clear as the sky itself.God did not harm the Israelite nobles; they saw him, and they ate and drank.

Rejoice during your festival— you, your son and daughter, your male and female slave, as well as the Levite, the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow within your city gates.You are to hold a seven-day festival for the LORD your God in the place he chooses, because the LORD your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, and you will have abundant joy.

And Abel also presented an offering— some of the firstborn of his flock and their fat portions. The LORD had regard for Abel and his offering,but he did not have regard for Cain and his offering. Cain was furious, and he looked despondent.

“ Go,” Jesus told him,“ your son will live.” The man believed what Jesus said to him and departed.

On the fifteenth day he sent the people away. So they blessed the king and went to their homes rejoicing and with happy hearts for all the goodness that the LORD had done for his servant David and for his people Israel.

But give from what is within to the poor, and then everything is clean for you.

The whole congregation decided to observe seven more days, so they observed seven days with joy,for King Hezekiah of Judah contributed one thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep for the congregation. Also, the officials contributed one thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep for the congregation, and many priests consecrated themselves.Then the whole assembly of Judah with the priests and Levites, the whole assembly that came from Israel, the resident aliens who came from the land of Israel, and those who were living in Judah, rejoiced.There was great rejoicing in Jerusalem, for nothing like this was known since the days of Solomon son of David, the king of Israel.Then the priests and the Levites stood to bless the people, and God heard them, and their prayer came into his holy dwelling place in heaven.

Then he told her,“ Because of this reply, you may go. The demon has left your daughter.”
