萬民所遭、初無或異、義不義、潔不潔、祭不祭、善不善、妄誓不妄誓者、億兆亦同此賦畀。

眾人所遇之事、皆同然無異、義人、惡人、善人、潔者、不潔者、獻祭者、不獻祭者、行善者、作惡者、發誓者、忌發誓者、所遇惟一、

All share a common destiny— the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not. As it is with the good, so with the sinful; as it is with those who take oaths, so with those who are afraid to take them.

Everyone will die someday. Death comes to godly and sinful people alike. It comes to good and bad people alike. It comes to“ clean” and“ unclean” people alike. Those who offer sacrifices and those who don’t offer them also die. A good person dies, and so does a sinner. Those who make promises die. So do those who are afraid to make them.

It is the same for all, since the same event happens to the righteous and the wicked, to the good and the evil, to the clean and the unclean, to him who sacrifices and him who does not sacrifice. As the good one is, so is the sinner, and he who swears is as he who shuns an oath.

The same destiny ultimately awaits everyone, whether righteous or wicked, good or bad, ceremonially clean or unclean, religious or irreligious. Good people receive the same treatment as sinners, and people who make promises to God are treated like people who don’t.

那時你們必再一次看出義人和惡人，事奉神和不事奉神的人有何差別。」

智慧人的眼目光明，愚昧人卻在黑暗裏行。但我知道他們都有相同的遭遇。我心裏就說：「愚昧人所遇見的，我也一樣遇見，那麼我何必更有智慧呢？」我心裏說：「這也是虛空。」智慧人和愚昧人一樣，不會長久被人記念，因為日後都被遺忘。可嘆！智慧人和愚昧人都一樣會死亡。

所以我說，都是一樣；完全人和惡人，他都滅絕。

萬軍之耶和華說：「我必臨近你們，施行審判。我必速速作見證，警戒那些行邪術的、犯姦淫的、起假誓的、剝削雇工工錢的、欺壓孤兒寡婦的、屈枉寄居者的和不敬畏我的人。」

因為我嫉妒狂傲的人，我看見惡人享平安。

二人對她說：「你叫我們所起的誓與我們無關，除非，看哪，當我們來到這地的時候，你把這條朱紅線繩子繫在縋我們下去的窗戶上，並要叫你的父母、兄弟和你父的全家都聚集在你家中。凡離開你家門往街上去的，他的血必歸到自己頭上，與我們無關；凡在你家裏的，若有人下手害他，他的血就歸到我們頭上。你若洩漏我們這件事，你叫我們所起的誓就與我們無關了。」

你持守這個，那個也不要鬆手才好。敬畏神的人，這一切都能兼得。

罪人雖然作惡百次，倒享長壽；然而我也知道，福樂必臨到敬畏神的人，就是在他面前心存敬畏的人。惡人卻不得福樂，他的日子好像影兒不得長久，因為他不敬畏神。世上有一件虛空的事，就是義人所遭遇的，反而照惡人所做的；惡人所遭遇的，反而照義人所做的。我說，這也是虛空。

神喜愛誰，就給誰智慧、知識和喜樂；惟有罪人，神使他勞苦，將他所儲藏、所堆積的歸給神所喜愛的人。這也是虛空，也是捕風。

往喪家去，強如往宴樂的家，因為死是眾人的結局，活人必將這事放在心上。

他對我說：「這就是向全地面發出的詛咒。凡偷竊的必按書卷這面的話除滅，凡起假誓的必按書卷那面的話除滅。萬軍之耶和華說：我要把這書卷送出去，進入偷竊者的家和指着我名起假誓者的家，停留在他家裏，連房屋帶木頭和石頭都毀滅了。」

惡人為何存活，得享高壽，勢力強盛呢？他們的後裔與他們一起，堅立在他們面前，他們得以眼見自己的子孫。他們的家宅平安無懼，神的杖不加在他們身上。他們的公牛傳種而不斷絕，母牛生牛犢而不掉胎。他們打發小男孩出去，多如羊羣，他們的孩子踴躍跳舞。他們隨着琴鼓歌唱，因簫聲歡喜。他們度日諸事亨通，在平安中下到陰間。他們對神說：『離開我們吧！我們不想知道你的道路。全能者是誰，我們何必事奉他呢？求告他有甚麼益處呢？』看哪，他們亨通不是靠自己的手；惡人的計謀離我好遠。「惡人的燈何嘗熄滅？患難何嘗臨到他們呢？神何嘗發怒，把災禍分給他們呢？他們何嘗像風前的碎稭，如暴風颳去的糠粃呢？神為惡人的兒女積蓄罪孽，不如本人遭報，好使他親自知道。願他親眼看見自己敗亡，親自飲全能者的憤怒。他的歲月既盡，他身後還顧他的家嗎？誰能將知識教導神呢？是他審判那些居高位的。有人至死身體強壯，盡得平順安逸；他的肚腹充滿奶汁，他的骨髓滋潤。有人至死心中痛苦，從未嘗過福樂的滋味；他們同樣躺臥於塵土，蟲子覆蓋他們。「看哪，我知道你們的意念，並殘害我的計謀。你們說：『權貴的房屋在哪裏？惡人住過的帳棚在哪裏？』你們沒有詢問那些過路的人嗎？你們不承認他們的證據嗎？就是惡人在患難的日子得存留，在憤怒的日子得逃脫。他所行的，有誰當面給他說明？他所做的，有誰報應他呢？然而他要被抬到墳地，並有人看守墓穴。他要以谷中的土塊為甘甜；人人要跟在他後面，在他前面去的無數。你們怎能以空話安慰我呢？你們的對答全都錯謬！」

他輕看誓言，背棄盟約，看哪，雖已投降，卻又做這一切的事，他必不能逃脫。所以主耶和華如此說：我指着我的永生起誓，他既輕看我的誓言，背棄我的約，我必使這罪歸到他頭上。

我要叫你指着耶和華－天和地的神起誓，不要為我兒子娶我所居住的迦南地的女子為妻。

那人雖然活千年，再活千年，卻不能享福；眾人豈不都歸同一個地方去嗎？

現在，我們稱狂傲的人為有福，並且行惡的人得以建立；他們雖然試探神，卻得以逃脫。」

倘若那女子不肯跟你來，我叫你起的誓就與你無關了，只是你不可帶我的兒子回到那裏去。」僕人就把手放在他主人亞伯拉罕的大腿底下，為這事向他起誓。

百姓進了樹林，看哪，有蜜流出來，卻沒有人敢用手取蜜入口，因為百姓怕那誓言。
