我竊思之、智愈於力、貧者之智、為人藐忽、不從其言。

我就说，智慧胜过勇力；然而那贫穷人的智慧被人藐视，他的话也无人听从。

我认为智慧胜过武力，然而那位穷人的智慧却被轻视，他所说的话也无人理会。

于是我说：“智慧胜过武力”，但是那个穷人的智慧被藐视，他的话也没有人听从。

我就说：“智慧胜过武力”，但那个贫寒人的智慧被人轻视，他的话语也没有人再听从。

我就說，智慧勝過勇力；然而那貧窮人的智慧被人藐視，他的話也無人聽從。

我就說，智慧勝過勇力；然而那貧窮人的智慧被人藐視，他的話也無人聽從。

我說，雖即那貧窮漢的智慧儘管被藐視，而他的話儘管無人聽從，然智慧終是勝過勇力的。

我就說：「智慧勝過武力」，但那個貧寒人的智慧被人輕視，他的話語也沒有人再聽從。

我則曰、智愈於力、然貧者之智、為人蔑視、言不見聽、

我自言曰、智慧雖愈於勇力、貧者之智慧仍被人藐忽、不聽其言、

So I said,“ Wisdom is better than strength.” But the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.

So I said,“ It’s better to be wise than to be powerful.” But people look down on the poor man’s wisdom. No one pays any attention to what he says.

But I say that wisdom is better than might, though the poor man’s wisdom is despised and his words are not heard.

So even though wisdom is better than strength, those who are wise will be despised if they are poor. What they say will not be appreciated for long.

And I said,“ Wisdom is better than strength, but the wisdom of the poor man is despised, and his words are not heeded.”

So I said,“ Wisdom is better than strength.” But the wisdom of the poor man is despised, and his words are ignored.

Then I said:“ Wisdom is better than strength. Nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, And his words are not heard.

Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.

And I said,“ Wisdom is better than strength, but the wisdom of the poor man is despised, and his words are not heeded.”

Then said I, Wisdom[ is] better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom[ is] despised, and his words are not heard.

So I concluded that wisdom is better than might, but a poor man’s wisdom is despised; no one ever listens to his advice.

Then I said,“ Wisdom is better than strength.” Nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.

胸懷睿智之人、較邑中十長者、更有能焉。

智者必有勇、壯夫為之辟易。

鞏固之城、人所倚賴、惟智者設謀以下之。

適安息日、耶穌於會堂教誨、眾聽、奇曰、斯焉得斯、所賦智慧、何其大耶、蓋此異能、自其手出、此非馬利亞子木工乎、非雅各、約西、猶大、西門兄弟乎、其姊妹非與我比鄰乎、遂厭而棄之、

智之為用勝於劍戟、惟一愚人與其間、則雖有嘉謀、亦為所敗。

富人有財、常得範衛、貧人缺乏、臨於危亡。

𠵽唎㘔人曰、爾曹亦為所惑乎、有司與𠵽唎㘔人、有信之者乎、但此眾不識律、可詛也、

兄弟乎、爾之奉召可見矣、貌為智為能為貴者、不多蒙召、乃上帝選世之不智、以愧智者、選世之不能、以愧能者、且選世之不貴者、見棄者、人視為無有者、以廢世之有者、故上帝前、無人得自誇、

𠵽唎㘔人復呼素瞽者曰、宜歸榮上帝、我知此人罪人也、曰其為罪人與否、我不知、昔瞽今明、我知之、復問曰、彼何為、如何明爾目、曰、我已告爾、爾不聽、何欲再聽、豈欲為其門徒乎、眾詬之曰、爾乃其門徒、我儕則摩西門徒、上帝諭摩西、我所知也、獨不知此人奚自耳、曰、彼明我目、爾不知其奚自、不亦異乎、我知上帝不聽罪人、惟崇拜上帝而遵其旨者、則聽之、亙古以來、未聞生而瞽者之目、人能明之、若此人非出自上帝、則無能為也、眾曰、爾生而有罪、反教我乎、遂逐之、

如有人金鐶美服、入爾會堂、亦有貧人、敝衣並入、爾顧美服者曰、坐此上位、語貧者曰、且立於旁、或坐我几下、豈非別貧富、而念慮未平乎、凡我良朋聽之哉、上帝選斯世貧者、欲彼信主以為富、可嗣上帝所許愛己者之國、何以爾反辱貧者乎、富者非挾制爾、拘曳爾、以至公庭乎、
