唸到一處寫着說：王的太監中有兩個守門檻的、辟探和提列、想法子要下手害亞哈隨魯王：關於這事末底改有所報告。王說：『為了這事、曾賜給末底改甚麼顯貴或尊大的爵位沒有？』那伺候王的侍臣們回答說：『沒有賜給他甚麼。』

婦人就憑她的聰明去見眾民。他們便割下比基利的兒子示巴的頭，丟給約押，約押吹號角，眾人就離城散開，各回各家去了。約押也回耶路撒冷到王那裏。

然而酒政長卻沒有懷念到約瑟，竟把他忘了。
