因為智慧人和愚昧人一樣，沒有人永遠記念他們，在未來的日子裡，都會被人遺忘。可歎智慧人跟愚昧人一樣，終必死亡。

有一處記著說：王有兩個守門的太監：辟探和提列，企圖要謀害亞哈隨魯王；這事給末底改告發了。王問：“為了這事，末底改得了甚麼尊榮和封賜沒有？”侍候王的眾臣僕回答：“他甚麼也沒有得到。”

婦人就憑她的智慧去見眾人，他們就把比基利的兒子示巴的頭砍下來，丟給約押；約押吹號角，眾人就離城散開，各回自己的家去了。約押也回耶路撒冷去見王。

但是酒政並不記念約瑟，竟把他忘記了。
