再者，人无法知道何时大难临头。祸患突然临到时，人根本无法摆脱，就像鱼落入险恶的网中，又像鸟儿陷入网罗。

因為人類並不知道他自己的定時：魚怎樣被捉住於致禍的網裏，鳥怎樣被捉住於機檻中，人類當禍患時、災禍忽然降到他們身上時、人也怎樣被羅住。

人不自知其時、魚入於網、鳥罹於羅、患難猝臨之日、世人陷於其中、亦若是也、○

譬彼水族羽族、猝罹網羅、人遘飛殃、出於莫測者亦若是。

時勢或作終局如何、人不得知、如魚之入網、網原文作惡網如鳥之入羅、禍患忽臨於人、而人陷其中亦若是、○

Moreover, no one knows when their hour will come: As fish are caught in a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so people are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them.

No one knows when trouble will come to them. Fish are caught in nets. Birds are taken in traps. And people are trapped by hard times that come when they don’t expect them.

For man does not know his time. Like fish that are taken in an evil net, and like birds that are caught in a snare, so the children of man are snared at an evil time, when it suddenly falls upon them.

People can never predict when hard times might come. Like fish in a net or birds in a trap, people are caught by sudden tragedy.

For certainly no one knows his time: like fish caught in a cruel net or like birds caught in a trap, so people are trapped in an evil time as it suddenly falls on them.

For indeed, a person does not know his time: like fish that are caught in a treacherous net and birds caught in a snare, so the sons of mankind are ensnared at an evil time when it suddenly falls on them.

For man also does not know his time: Like fish taken in a cruel net, Like birds caught in a snare, So the sons of men are snared in an evil time, When it falls suddenly upon them.

For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare, even so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

For man certainly does not know his time: like fish caught in a cruel net or like birds caught in a trap, so people are trapped in an evil time as it suddenly falls on them.

Surely, no one knows his appointed time! Like fish that are caught in a deadly net, and like birds that are caught in a snare– just like them, all people are ensnared at an unfortunate time that falls upon them suddenly.

For man also doesn’t know his time. As the fish that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare, even so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly on them.

惡人因為過犯，陷於網羅；義人卻歡呼喜樂。

人正在說平安穩妥的時候，毀滅性的災禍就突然臨到他們，好像生產的痛苦臨到懷胎的婦人一樣，他們絕不能逃脫。

遵守命令的，必不遭受災禍；智慧人的心，曉得時機，懂得判斷。各樣事務成就，都有合宜的時機和定局，儘管人的災禍重壓在自己身上。他不曉得未來的事，將來要發生甚麼，誰能告訴他呢？

“你們應當自己小心，免得在貪食醉酒和生活的掛慮壓住你們的心的時候，那日子突然臨到你們，正如網羅臨到全地的所有居民。你們要時刻警醒，常常祈求，好讓你們能逃避這一切要發生的事，可以站在人子面前。”

你們都知道，家主若曉得竊賊甚麼時候來，就不會讓他摸進屋裡。

對惡行已判定的刑罰遲遲沒有執行，世人的心就充滿行惡的意圖。

你實在把他們安放在滑地，使他們倒下、滅亡。他們忽然間成了多麼荒涼，被突然的驚恐完全消滅。人睡醒了怎樣看夢，主啊！你睡醒了，也要照樣輕看他們（“他們”原文作“他們的影像”）。

你竟使人像海裡的魚，像無人管轄的爬行的動物。迦勒底人既用鈎把他們釣起來，用網拖走，用魚網收聚在一處，就歡喜快樂，向自己的網獻祭，對魚網燒香，因他們藉此收穫豐富，飲食充裕。這樣，他們倒空自己的網，毫不留情地繼續殺戮列國。

挪亞的時代怎樣，人子的時代也是怎樣。當時人們吃喝嫁娶，直到挪亞進入方舟的那一天，洪水來了，把他們全都滅掉。在羅得的時代也是這樣，人們吃喝買賣，耕種建造，直到羅得離開所多瑪的那一天，火與硫磺從天上降下來，把他們全都滅掉。人子顯現的日子也是這樣。當那日，人在房頂上，器具在屋裡，不要下來拿；在田裡的，照樣不要回家。

少年人就立刻跟隨她，好像牛走向屠房，又像愚妄人帶著鎖鍊去受刑罰，直到箭矢射透他的肝；他仿佛飛鳥投入網羅，並不知道會喪失性命。

因此，災難必忽然臨到，他必突然毀滅，無法挽救。

耶和華必使火炭落在惡人身上，烈火、硫磺和旱風是他們杯中的分。

說：“巴不得你在這日子，知道關於你平安的事，但現在這事在你眼前是隱藏的。日子將到，你的仇敵必築壘攻擊你，周圍環繞你，四面困住你，要摧毀你和你裡面的兒女，沒有一塊石頭留在另一塊石頭上面，因為你不知道那眷顧你的時期。”

神卻對他說：‘無知的人哪，今天晚上，你的靈魂必被取去，你所預備的要歸給誰呢？’

你們在教外人中，應當品行端正，使那些人，雖然毀謗你們是作惡的，但因為看見你們的好行為，就要在鑒察的日子頌讚神。

他的腳送自己進入網羅，他走在陷阱之上。圈套要纏住他的腳跟，網羅要罩在他身上。活扣為他藏在地裡，羈絆為他埋在路上。

所以這罪孽對於你們，必像一道有了裂縫，且凸了出來，快要倒塌的高牆，在頃刻之間，就突然倒塌。

但這些人，好像沒有理性的牲畜，生下來就是給人捉去宰殺的；他們毀謗自己所不知道的事，必在自己的敗壞中滅亡。

因為他說：“在悅納的時候，我應允了你；在拯救的日子，我幫助了你。”看哪！現在就是悅納的時候，現在就是拯救的日子。

他們雖然曾經被魔鬼擄去，隨從他的意思而行，或許也能醒悟過來，脫離魔鬼的陷阱。
