As no one has power over the wind to contain it, so no one has power over the time of their death. As no one is discharged in time of war, so wickedness will not release those who practice it.

No one can stop the wind from blowing. And no one has the power to decide when they will die. No one is let out of the army in times of war. And evil won’t let go of those who practice it.

No man has power to retain the spirit, or power over the day of death. There is no discharge from war, nor will wickedness deliver those who are given to it.

None of us can hold back our spirit from departing. None of us has the power to prevent the day of our death. There is no escaping that obligation, that dark battle. And in the face of death, wickedness will certainly not rescue the wicked.

No one has authority over the wind to restrain it, and there is no authority over the day of death; no one is discharged during battle, and wickedness will not allow those who practice it to escape.

既然人的日子限定，他的月数在于你，你划定他的界限，他不能越过；

你们曾说：“我们已与死亡立约，与阴间结盟，不可挡的鞭子挥过时，必不临到我们；因我们以谎言为避难所，靠虚假来藏身”；

按着命定，人人都有一死，死后且有审判。

恶人因所行的恶必被推倒；义人临死，有所投靠。

谁能常活不见死亡、救自己脱离阴间的掌控呢？（细拉）

他因软弱被钉在十字架上，却因神的大能仍然活着。我们在他里面也成为软弱的，但对你们，我们将因神的大能而与他一同活着。

恶人，就是忘记神的外邦人，都必归到阴间。

他们那些倚靠财货，自夸钱财多的人，没有一个能赎自己的弟兄，能将赎价给神，让他长远活着，不见地府；因为赎生命的价值极贵，只可永远罢休。

你实在把他们安放在滑地，使他们跌倒灭亡；他们转眼之间成了何等荒凉！他们被惊恐灭尽了。人睡醒了，怎样看梦，主啊，你醒了也必照样轻看他们的影像。因此，我心里苦恼，肺腑被刺。我这样愚昧无知，在你面前如同畜牲。然而，我常与你同在；你搀扶我的右手。你要以你的训言引导我，以后你必接我到荣耀里。除你以外，在天上我有谁呢？除你以外，在地上我也没有所爱慕的。我的肉体和我的心肠衰残；但神是我心里的力量，又是我的福分，直到永远。看哪，远离你的，必要死亡；凡离弃你行淫的，你都灭绝了。但我亲近神是于我有益；我以主耶和华为我的避难所，好叫我述说你一切的作为。

所种的是羞辱的，复活的是荣耀的；所种的是软弱的，复活的是强壮的；

你们与死亡所立的约必废除，与阴间所结的盟不得坚立；不可挡的鞭子挥过时，你们必被践踏。

他若专心为己，将灵和气收归自己，

我们都必死，如同水泼在地上，不能收回。神不会让人不死，但仍设法使逃亡的人不致成为赶出、回不来的人。

神也要毁灭你，直到永远。他要抓住你，从帐棚中拉你出来，从活人之地将你拔除。（细拉）义人要看见而惧怕，并要笑他。看哪，这就是那不以神为保障的人，他只倚靠丰富的财物，在邪恶上坚立自己。

他们去跟踪亚兰人，直到约旦河。看哪，整条路上都是亚兰人匆忙逃跑时所丢弃的衣服和器具，使者就回来向王报告。

谁知道人的气息是往上升，走兽的气息是下入地呢？

“你出去与仇敌作战，若看见马匹、战车，以及比你更多的士兵，不要怕他们，因为领你出埃及地的耶和华—你的神与你同在。你们将要上阵的时候，祭司要来，向士兵宣告，对他们说：‘以色列啊，要听！你们今日将要与仇敌作战，不要心惊胆战，不要惧怕战兢，也不要因他们惊慌，因为与你们同去的是耶和华—你们的神，他要为你们与仇敌作战，拯救你们。’官长也要向士兵宣告说：‘谁建了新的房屋尚未奉献，他可以回家去，免得他阵亡，别人去奉献。谁栽植了葡萄园尚未享用所结的果子，他可以回家去，免得他阵亡，别人去享用。谁与女子订了婚尚未迎娶，他可以回家去，免得他阵亡，别人去娶。’官长要继续对士兵说：‘谁惧怕，心惊胆战，可以回家去，免得他弟兄的心像他的心一样消沉。’
