As no one has power over the wind to contain it, so no one has power over the time of their death. As no one is discharged in time of war, so wickedness will not release those who practice it.

No one can stop the wind from blowing. And no one has the power to decide when they will die. No one is let out of the army in times of war. And evil won’t let go of those who practice it.

No man has power to retain the spirit, or power over the day of death. There is no discharge from war, nor will wickedness deliver those who are given to it.

None of us can hold back our spirit from departing. None of us has the power to prevent the day of our death. There is no escaping that obligation, that dark battle. And in the face of death, wickedness will certainly not rescue the wicked.

就如人人注定都有一死，而且死后有审判，

恶人因自己的恶行被推倒，义人在临死时有投靠。

谁能存活而不见死亡呢？谁能救自己的灵魂脱离阴间的权势呢？细拉

实际上，基督虽然在软弱中被钉十字架，但他却在神的大能中活着。的确，我们虽然在基督里也软弱，但为了你们，我们却在神的大能中，将要与基督一同活着。

恶人将归到阴间，所有忘记神的国家也是如此。

他们只是依靠财富、自夸多财的人。人实在不能救赎弟兄，也不能把他的赎价交给神，——因为灵魂的赎价昂贵，人只好永远罢休——好使他永久存活，不看到阴坑。

你确实把他们放在易滑之地，使他们仆倒灭亡。他们怎么在一瞬间就成了废墟呢？他们被恐怖的事彻底扫除！人醒来时怎样轻视梦，主啊，你醒起时，也会怎样轻视梦幻般的他们！我心中苦毒，肺腑被刺伤时，我是愚昧无知的；我在你面前如同畜类。但是我一直随着你；你抓住我的右手。你以你的谋略引导我，以后必接我到荣耀里。除你以外，在天上我还有谁呢？除你以外，在地上我也没有所喜悦的。我的肉体和我的心都在衰竭，但神是我心里的力量，是我继业的份，直到永远。看哪，远离你的都将灭亡；所有背弃你如同犯奸淫的，你都要除尽！至于我，在神的近旁对我是美好的；我以主耶和华为我的避难所，为要讲述他一切的作为。

在卑贱中被种下，在荣耀中复活；在软弱中被种下，在强壮中复活；

你们与死亡立的约必废除，与阴间定的协议也立不住；冲击而来的鞭子经过时，你们必被践踏；

为此神要把你永久拆毁，他会抓住你，把你从帐篷里拖出来，把你从活人之地连根拔出。细拉义人看见，就会心存敬畏，并且讥笑这人：“看哪，这个人不把神当作自己的保障，他依靠自己丰盛的财富，靠自己的奸恶得胜。”

谁知道人的灵是否往上升，兽的灵是否往下降入地里呢？
