As no one has power over the wind to contain it, so no one has power over the time of their death. As no one is discharged in time of war, so wickedness will not release those who practice it.

No one can stop the wind from blowing. And no one has the power to decide when they will die. No one is let out of the army in times of war. And evil won’t let go of those who practice it.

No man has power to retain the spirit, or power over the day of death. There is no discharge from war, nor will wickedness deliver those who are given to it.

None of us can hold back our spirit from departing. None of us has the power to prevent the day of our death. There is no escaping that obligation, that dark battle. And in the face of death, wickedness will certainly not rescue the wicked.

No one has authority over the wind to restrain it, and there is no authority over the day of death; no one is discharged during battle, and wickedness will not allow those who practice it to escape.

人的年日已被限定，你掌管他的岁月，设定他无法逾越的界限。

你们说：“我们已经和死亡立约，与阴间结盟。灾难席卷而来的时候，我们会安然无恙，因为我们以谎言为庇护所，以诡诈为藏身处。”

按着定命，人人都有一死，死后还有审判。

恶人因恶行而灭亡，义人到死仍有倚靠。

谁能长生不死？谁能救自己脱离死亡的权势呢？（细拉）

不错，祂的软弱之躯曾被钉在十字架上，但如今祂靠上帝的大能活着。我们也跟祂一样软弱，但为了你们，我们要靠上帝的大能和祂一同活着。

恶人必下阴间，这是所有忘记上帝之人的结局。

他们倚靠金钱、夸耀财富，却不能救赎自己的生命，也无法向上帝付生命的赎价。因为生命的赎价高昂，无人付得起，以致可以永远活着，不进坟墓。

你把他们放在容易滑倒的地方，使他们落入毁灭中。他们顷刻间被毁灭，在恐怖中彻底灭亡。他们不过是人醒来后的一场梦。主啊，你一行动，他们必灰飞烟灭。我曾感到悲伤，心如刀绞。我当时愚昧无知，在你面前如同畜类。然而，我一直和你在一起，你牵着我的手引导我。你以谆谆教诲指引我，以后必接我到荣耀中。除你以外，在天上我还有谁？除你以外，在地上我别无爱慕。尽管我身心俱衰，上帝永远是我心中的力量，永远属于我。那些远离你的人必灭亡，你必灭绝不忠于你的人。对于我，到上帝面前是何等美好。我以主耶和华为我的避难所，并宣扬祂的一切作为。

种下去的是羞耻的，复活的是荣耀的；种下去的是软弱的，复活的是刚强的；

你们和死亡所立的约必被废弃，与阴间的结盟必不能长久。灾难席卷而来的时候，你们必遭毁灭。

上帝若决定收回自己的灵和气，

人都难免一死，就像覆水难收。然而，上帝不是要夺取人的性命，而是要设法使流亡的人重新回来。

上帝必永远毁灭你，祂必抓住你，把你从家里拉出来，从活人之地铲除。（细拉）义人看见必心生敬畏，他们必嘲笑说：“看啊，这就是不依靠上帝的人，他只倚仗自己的财富和以残暴手段获得的权势。”

探子一路追到约旦河，沿路看见到处都是亚兰军仓皇逃走时丢弃的衣服和装备，便回去禀告王。

谁知道人的气息会向上升，兽的气息会降到地下呢？”

“你们和敌人交战时，面对比你们强大的军队及战车战马，不要害怕，因为你们的上帝耶和华与你们同在，祂曾带领你们离开埃及。你们出战之前，祭司要上前鼓舞士气，说，‘以色列人啊，听着！今天你们要和敌人交战，不要胆怯，不要惧怕，也不要恐慌。因为你们的上帝耶和华要与你们同去，为你们争战，使你们得胜。’官长要对士兵说，‘你们谁建了新房子还没有举行奉献礼？他可以回家去，以免他阵亡了，别人为他的房子举行奉献礼。谁栽种了葡萄园还没有享受过园中的果子？他可以回家去，以免他阵亡了，别人享受他园中的果子。谁订了亲还没有迎娶？他可以回家去，以免他阵亡了，别人娶他的未婚妻。’官长也要告诉士兵，‘有没有胆怯、害怕的？他可以回家去，免得影响他人士气。’
