For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a person may be weighed down by misery.

There’s a proper time and way for people to do everything. That’s true even though a person might be suffering greatly.

saying,“ If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side,and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

Consider the work of God; For who can make straight what He has made crooked?In the day of prosperity be joyful, But in the day of adversity consider: Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other, So that man can find out nothing that will come after him.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, For the reward of his hands shall be given him.As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.”The Lord stands up to plead, And stands to judge the people.The Lord will enter into judgment With the elders of His people And His princes:“ For you have eaten up the vineyard; The plunder of the poor is in your houses.

Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; Walk in the ways of your heart, And in the sight of your eyes; But know that for all these God will bring you into judgment.Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, And put away evil from your flesh, For childhood and youth are vanity.Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say,“ I have no pleasure in them”:

And in that day the Lord GOD of hosts Called for weeping and for mourning, For baldness and for girding with sackcloth.But instead, joy and gladness, Slaying oxen and killing sheep, Eating meat and drinking wine:“ Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”Then it was revealed in my hearing by the Lord of hosts,“ Surely for this iniquity there will be no atonement for you, Even to your death,” says the Lord GOD of hosts.

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:“ Today, if you will hear His voice,Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness,Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, And saw My works forty years.Therefore I was angry with that generation, And said,‘ They always go astray in their heart, And they have not known My ways.’So I swore in My wrath,‘ They shall not enter My rest.’”

When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying,‘ Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you,‘ I do not know you, where you are from,’
