Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.

罪人虽然作恶百次，倒享长久的年日；然而我准知道，敬畏神的，就是在他面前敬畏的人，终久必得福乐。

罪人作惡百次、而享遐齡、然我深知寅畏上帝者、必獲福祉、

作惡之人、屢蹈罪愆、反享遐齡、然吾知寅畏上帝者、終必受厥綏祉、

惡人雖百次行惡、仍享遐齡、然我知敬畏天主者、在天主前存敬畏心者、終得享福、

Although a wicked person who commits a hundred crimes may live a long time, I know that it will go better with those who fear God, who are reverent before him.

An evil person may be guilty of a hundred crimes. Yet they may still live a long time. But I know that things will go better with those who have great respect for God.

Though a sinner does evil a hundred times and prolongs his life, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, because they fear before him.

But even though a person sins a hundred times and still lives a long time, I know that those who fear God will be better off.

What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,

For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them;But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil.”

“ No more shall an infant from there live but a few days, Nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days; For the child shall die one hundred years old, But the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed.They shall build houses and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.They shall not build and another inhabit; They shall not plant and another eat; For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, And My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.They shall not labor in vain, Nor bring forth children for trouble; For they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the Lord, And their offspring with them.“ It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.

Then the King will say to those on His right hand,‘ Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, And nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him.

“ Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings.Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, For the reward of his hands shall be given him.

And His mercy is on those who fear him from generation to generation.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Behold, My servants shall eat, But you shall be hungry; Behold, My servants shall drink, But you shall be thirsty; Behold, My servants shall rejoice, But you shall be ashamed;Behold, My servants shall sing for joy of heart, But you shall cry for sorrow of heart, And wail for grief of spirit.

Tremble before Him, all the earth. The world also is firmly established, It shall not be moved.

It is good that you grasp this, And also not remove your hand from the other; For he who fears God will escape them all.

Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth.

Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments.

Now a certain man drew a bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of his armor. So he said to the driver of his chariot,“ Turn around and take me out of the battle, for I am wounded.”The battle increased that day; and the king was propped up in his chariot, facing the Syrians, and died at evening. The blood ran out from the wound onto the floor of the chariot.

And this also is a severe evil— Just exactly as he came, so shall he go. And what profit has he who has labored for the wind?

“ Then He will also say to those on the left hand,‘ Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’“ Then they also will answer Him, saying,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’Then He will answer them, saying,‘ Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

But there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the Lord, because Jezebel his wife stirred him up.

You shall not eat it, that it may go well with you and your children after you, when you do what is right in the sight of the Lord.

“ Moreover you know also what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, and what he did to the two commanders of the armies of Israel, to Abner the son of Ner and Amasa the son of Jether, whom he killed. And he shed the blood of war in peacetime, and put the blood of war on his belt that was around his waist, and on his sandals that were on his feet.Therefore do according to your wisdom, and do not let his gray hair go down to the grave in peace.“ But show kindness to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be among those who eat at your table, for so they came to me when I fled from Absalom your brother.“ And see, you have with you Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite from Bahurim, who cursed me with a malicious curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim. But he came down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swore to him by the Lord, saying,‘ I will not put you to death with the sword.’Now therefore, do not hold him guiltless, for you are a wise man and know what you ought to do to him; but bring his gray hair down to the grave with blood.”

Evil pursues sinners, But to the righteous, good shall be repaid.

He will bless those who fear the Lord, Both small and great.
