就是我心裏屢次尋找着，而未曾找到的：在一千人中我找到了一個正直的男人，但女人呢，在一千人之中、我卻找不到一個正直的。

我心所求、猶未遇者、千男之中、我得其一、眾女之中、不得其一、

我心又有所尋、而未尋得、千男之中、猶可得一俊士、千女之中、未必得一哲婦、

while I was still searching but not finding— I found one upright man among a thousand, but not one upright woman among them all.

I searched and searched but found very little. I did find one honest man among a thousand. But I didn’t find one honest woman among a thousand.

which my soul has sought repeatedly, but I have not found. One man among a thousand I found, but a woman among all these I have not found.

Though I have searched repeatedly, I have not found what I was looking for. Only one out of a thousand men is virtuous, but not one woman!

which my soul continually searches for but does not find: I found one person in a thousand, but none of those was a woman.

一千天使中，若有一个作传话的与神同在，指示人所当行的事，

所罗门王在法老的女儿之外，又宠爱许多外邦女子，就是摩押女子、亚扪女子、以东女子、西顿女子、赫人女子。论到这些国的人，耶和华曾晓谕以色列人说：“你们不可与她们往来相通，因为她们必诱惑你们的心去随从她们的神。”所罗门却恋爱这些女子。所罗门有妃七百，都是公主；还有嫔三百。这些妃嫔诱惑他的心。

耶和华啊，求你帮助，因虔诚人断绝了；世人中间的忠信人没有了。

夜间，我心中羡慕你；我里面的灵切切寻求你。因为你在世上行审判的时候，地上的居民就学习公义。

我曾用智慧试验这一切事；我说，要得智慧，智慧却离我远。万事之理，离我甚远，而且最深，谁能测透呢？
