傳道者曰、我既一一察之、究其理之所以、則有得焉、

傳道者曰、我察萬事、欲知其詳、而有所未逮、簡俊士於千人之內、猶可或覯、求哲婦於萬姝之中、不能必得。

柯希列曰、我以萬事一一考察、欲得其詳、即察得此、

The Teacher says: I discovered this while trying to discover the scheme of things, item by item.

“ Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher.“ Everything is meaningless!”Not only was the Teacher wise, but he also imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs.The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true. (niv)
