I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare.

A woman who hunts a man down is more painful than death. Her heart is like a trap. Her hands are like chains. A man who pleases God will try to get away from her. But she will trap a sinner.

And I find something more bitter than death: the woman whose heart is snares and nets, and whose hands are fetters. He who pleases God escapes her, but the sinner is taken by her.

陌生女子的口是深坑，耶和華所憎惡的，必陷在其中。

因為陌生女子的嘴唇滴下蜂蜜，她的口比油更滑，後來卻苦似茵蔯，銳利如兩刃的劍。她的腳墜落死亡，她的腳步踏入陰間，

她的家陷入死亡，她的路偏向陰魂。凡到她那裏去的，不得回轉，也得不到生命的路。

上帝喜愛誰，就給誰智慧、知識和喜樂；惟有罪人，上帝使他勞苦，將他所儲藏、所堆積的歸給上帝所喜愛的人。這也是虛空，也是捕風。

智慧要救你遠離陌生女子，遠離那油嘴滑舌的外邦女子。

這女子用許多巧言引誘他，用諂媚的嘴唇催逼他。青年立刻跟隨她，好像牛去被宰殺，又像愚妄人帶着腳鐐去受刑，直到箭穿進他的肝，如同雀鳥急投羅網，卻不知會賠上自己的生命。孩子們，現在要聽從我，要留心聽我口中的言語。你的心不可偏向她的道，不要誤入她的迷途。因為她擊倒許多人，無數的人被她殺戮。她的家是在陰間之路，下到死亡之宮。

妓女是深坑，外邦女子是窄井。她像強盜埋伏，她使奸詐的人增多。

人卻不知有陰魂在她那裏，她召喚的人是在陰間的深處。

大利拉見他說出了心中的一切，就派人去召非利士人的領袖，說：「請再上來一次，因為他已經說出了心中的一切。」於是非利士人的領袖手裏拿着銀子，上到她那裏。大利拉哄參孫睡在她的膝上，叫一個人來剃掉參孫頭上的七條髮綹。於是大利拉開始制伏參孫，他的力氣就離開他了。大利拉說：「參孫，非利士人來捉你了！」參孫從睡中醒來，說：「我要像前幾次一樣脫身而去。」他卻不知道耶和華已經離開他了。非利士人逮住他，挖了他的眼睛，帶他下到迦薩，用銅鏈鎖住他，叫他在監獄裏推磨。
