I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare.

A woman who hunts a man down is more painful than death. Her heart is like a trap. Her hands are like chains. A man who pleases God will try to get away from her. But she will trap a sinner.

And I find something more bitter than death: the woman whose heart is snares and nets, and whose hands are fetters. He who pleases God escapes her, but the sinner is taken by her.

淫妇的口为深坑；耶和华所憎恶的，必陷在其中。

因为淫妇的嘴滴下蜂蜜；她的口比油更滑，至终却苦似茵陈，快如两刃的刀。她的脚下入死地；她脚步踏住阴间，

她的家陷入死地；她的路偏向阴间。凡到她那里去的，不得转回，也得不着生命的路。

神喜悦谁，就给谁智慧、知识，和喜乐；惟有罪人，神使他劳苦，叫他将所收聚的、所堆积的归给神所喜悦的人。这也是虚空，也是捕风。

智慧要救你脱离淫妇，就是那油嘴滑舌的外女。

淫妇用许多巧言诱他随从，用谄媚的嘴逼他同行。少年人立刻跟随她，好像牛往宰杀之地；又像愚昧人带锁链去受刑罚，直等箭穿他的肝；如同雀鸟急入网罗，却不知是自丧己命。众子啊，现在要听从我，留心听我口中的话。你的心不可偏向淫妇的道，不要入她的迷途。因为，被她伤害仆倒的不少；被她杀戮的而且甚多。她的家是在阴间之路，下到死亡之宫。

妓女是深坑；外女是窄阱。她埋伏好像强盗；她使人中多有奸诈的。

人却不知有阴魂在她那里；她的客在阴间的深处。

大利拉见他把心中所藏的都告诉了她，就打发人到非利士人的首领那里，对他们说：“他已经把心中所藏的都告诉了我，请你们再上来一次。”于是非利士人的首领手里拿着银子，上到妇人那里。大利拉使参孙枕着她的膝睡觉，叫了一个人来剃除他头上的七条发绺。于是大利拉克制他，他的力气就离开他了。大利拉说：“参孙哪，非利士人拿你来了！”参孙从睡中醒来，心里说：“我要像前几次出去活动身体”；他却不知道耶和华已经离开他了。非利士人将他拿住，剜了他的眼睛，带他下到迦萨，用铜链拘索他；他就在监里推磨。
