Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it.

Wisdom provides safety, just as money provides safety. But here’s the advantage of wisdom. It guards those who have it.

For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.

Wealth does not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from mortal danger.

Discretion will protect you, understanding will guard you,

The name of the LORD is like a strong tower; the righteous person runs to it and is set safely on high.The wealth of a rich person is like a strong city, and it is like a high wall in his imagination.

He is your constant source of stability; he abundantly provides safety and great wisdom; he gives all this to those who fear him.

“ Reconcile yourself with God, and be at peace with him; in this way your prosperity will be good.Accept instruction from his mouth and store up his words in your heart.If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; if you remove wicked behavior far from your tent,and throw your gold in the dust– your gold of Ophir among the rocks in the ravines–then the Almighty himself will be your gold, and the choicest silver for you.

Today I invoke heaven and earth as a witness against you that I have set life and death, blessing and curse, before you. Therefore choose life so that you and your descendants may live!I also call on you to love the LORD your God, to obey him and be loyal to him, for he gives you life and enables you to live continually in the land the LORD promised to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

For because of me your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.

A poor person is disliked even by his neighbors, but those who love the rich are many.

They travel down to Egypt without seeking my will, seeking Pharaoh’s protection, and looking for safety in Egypt’s protective shade.

For this is no idle word for you– it is your life! By this word you will live a long time in the land you are about to cross the Jordan to possess.”

He stores up effective counsel for the upright, and is like a shield for those who live with integrity,

And I know that his commandment is eternal life. Thus the things I say, I say just as the Father has told me.”

The thornbush said to the trees,‘ If you really want to choose me as your king, then come along, find safety under my branches! Otherwise may fire blaze from the thornbush and consume the cedars of Lebanon!’

Now this is eternal life– that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent.
