智者何所勝於愚者、貧而智者、求與人交、貧而智者求與人交或作貧者知於人前如何而行有何益哉、

What advantage have the wise over fools? What do the poor gain by knowing how to conduct themselves before others?

What advantage do wise people have over those who are foolish? What do poor people gain by knowing how to act toward others?

For what advantage has the wise man over the fool? And what does the poor man have who knows how to conduct himself before the living?

So are wise people really better off than fools? Do poor people gain anything by being wise and knowing how to act in front of others?

For what advantage hath the wise more than the fool? or what hath the poor man, that knoweth how to walk before the living?

智慧人看得见他的道路，愚昧人却在黑暗中行走。不过我也明白，同样的命运会临到他们这两种人。于是我心里说：“既然愚昧人的命运也照样会临到我，那么我为什么要更有智慧呢？”我心里就说：“这也是虚空！”因为智慧人与愚昧人一样，不会被永远记念；在将要来的日子，一切都会被忘掉。为什么智慧人像愚昧人一样会死亡呢？

我要谨慎明智地行在完全的道上，你什么时候才到我这里来呢？我要在我家中以纯全的心行事。

财物增加，吃用的人也增加，而主人除了眼看以外，还有什么益处呢？

对那些今世富有的人，你当吩咐他们不可高傲自大，也不可把盼望寄托在靠不住的财富上，而要寄托在神身上，神把万物丰丰富富地赐给我们享受。

亚伯兰九十九岁时，耶和华向亚伯兰显现，对他说：“我是全能的神，你当行在我面前，作纯全人。

行事纯全的贫穷人，好过言语悖谬的愚昧人。

他们两个人在神面前都是义人，遵行主的一切诫命和公义规定，无可指责。

我要在活人之地，行在耶和华面前。
