勿縱爾口陷身於罪、勿於使者前曰、乃錯誤也、曷使上帝聞爾聲而怒、敗爾手之所為、

勿以口所許、陷於罪戾、毋告祭司、以所許之言為誤、恐上帝震怒、敗爾所為。

Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger,“ My vow was a mistake.” Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands?

Don’t let your mouth cause you to sin. Don’t say to the temple messenger,“ My promise was a mistake.” Why should God be angry with what you say? Why should he destroy what you have done?

Let not your mouth lead you into sin, and do not say before the messenger that it was a mistake. Why should God be angry at your voice and destroy the work of your hands?

Don’t let your mouth make you sin. And don’t defend yourself by telling the Temple messenger that the promise you made was a mistake. That would make God angry, and he might wipe out everything you have achieved.

Do not let your mouth bring guilt on you, and do not say in the presence of the messenger that it was a mistake. Why should God be angry with your words and destroy the work of your hands?

If someone thinks he is religious yet does not bridle his tongue, and so deceives his heart, his religion is futile.

For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge of sacred things, and people should seek instruction from him because he is the messenger of the LORD who rules over all.

the Angel who has protected me from all harm– bless these boys. May my name be named in them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac. May they grow into a multitude on the earth.”

For we all stumble in many ways. If someone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect individual, able to control the entire body as well.

And the priest is to make atonement for the whole community of the Israelites, and they will be forgiven, because it was unintentional and they have brought their offering, an offering made by fire to the LORD, and their purification offering before the LORD, for their unintentional offense.

or when a person swears an oath, speaking thoughtlessly with his lips, whether to do evil or to do good, with regard to anything which the individual might speak thoughtlessly in an oath, even if he did not realize it, but he himself has later come to know it and is guilty with regard to one of these oaths–when an individual becomes guilty with regard to one of these things he must confess how he has sinned,and he must bring his penalty for guilt to the LORD for his sin that he has committed, a female from the flock, whether a female sheep or a female goat, for a sin offering. So the priest will make atonement on his behalf for his sin.

Be careful what you do when you go to the temple of God; draw near to listen rather than to offer a sacrifice like fools, for they do not realize that they are doing wrong.Do not be rash with your mouth or hasty in your heart to bring up a matter before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth! Therefore, let your words be few.

“ I am about to send my messenger, who will clear the way before me. Indeed, the Lord you are seeking will suddenly come to his temple, and the messenger of the covenant, whom you long for, is certainly coming,” says the LORD who rules over all.

For this reason a woman should have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Before God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, I solemnly charge you to carry out these commands without prejudice or favoritism of any kind.

Then Haggai responded,“‘ The people of this nation are unclean in my sight,’ says the LORD.‘ And so is all their effort; everything they offer is also unclean.Now therefore reflect carefully on the recent past, before one stone was laid on another in the LORD’s temple.From that time when one came expecting a heap of twenty measures, there were only ten; when one came to the wine vat to draw out fifty measures from it, there were only twenty.I struck all the products of your labor with blight, disease, and hail, and yet you brought nothing to me,’ says the LORD.

“‘ If what is vowed is a kind of animal from which an offering may be presented to the LORD, anything which he gives to the LORD from this kind of animal will be holy.He must not replace or exchange it, good for bad or bad for good, and if he does indeed exchange one animal for another animal, then both the original animal and its substitute will be holy.

each builder’s work will be plainly seen, for the Day will make it clear, because it will be revealed by fire. And the fire will test what kind of work each has done.If what someone has built survives, he will receive a reward.If someone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

‘ You expected a large harvest, but instead there was little, and when you brought it home it disappeared right away. Why?’ asks the LORD who rules over all.‘ Because my temple remains in ruins, thanks to each of you favoring his own house!This is why the sky has held back its dew and the earth its produce.Moreover, I have called for a drought that will affect the fields, the hill country, the grain, new wine, fresh olive oil, and everything that grows from the ground; it also will harm people, animals, and everything they produce.’”

“ After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the desert of Mount Sinai, in the flame of a burning bush.When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight, and when he approached to investigate, there came the voice of the Lord,‘ I am the God of your forefathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.’ Moses began to tremble and did not dare to look more closely.But the Lord said to him,‘ Take the sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.I have certainly seen the suffering of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their groaning, and I have come down to rescue them. Now come, I will send you to Egypt.’This same Moses they had rejected, saying,‘ Who made you a ruler and judge?’ God sent as both ruler and deliverer through the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.

He struggled with an angel and prevailed; he wept and begged for his favor. He found God at Bethel, and there he spoke with him!As for the LORD God Almighty, the LORD is the name by which he is remembered!
